Hubs and I would survive. I'm the prepper; he's not. But he's very handy. As long as I have propane tanks, I can cook. Heck. I've got an 80 gal propane tank outside that feeds my furnace heat pump. I would have to can up everything in my freezer tho, unless we dedicated the Honda gennie to it for a while.

Mine is almost like that one. 😁. Of course, a stove top percolator, too. Bookoos of stainless and cast iron pots, skillets, a tea kettle, etc. And some various coolers. Short term I could use, can up most freezer food.....but, on long term scale, options are others forms of preservation which will need to be in use.

Look at those poor Ukrainians! 🥴 Talk about SHTF !!

Well I like to think,, ok so if you didn’t have a battery / solar/ or fuel for a generator — how would you_________________?
Cut wood
Cut a field
Store food for winter
Cook
Clean
Etc………
I look for non electric solutions
A small solar charger for rechargeable batteries, a hand crank emergency radio,
And the list goes on,
I have been trying to move away from relying on the freezer, I have been Not buying foods that require refrigeration,

I think this is good, for us anyway, not everyone can.

I learned a lot for our Amish friends. Their refrigerator was a deep hole, with racks on a rope and pulley system.

Jesus is Lord and Christ 🙏❤️🇺🇸

Good Morning ALL! Happy BLESSED Sunday!!! I so wish I could turn off my internal alarm clock so I could sleep in a little longer but I guess getting up between 5-5:45 on days FH doesn't have to work is sleeping in seeing how my normal time of getting up is between 3-3:30.
@Grandmas Porch you have a beautiful dog there!! He looks like he is quite the big boy. I notice he has tan points by chance is he a rottweiler?

Wonderful day here. Coffee and relaxing for a few.

Cold 31 with feel like 24 🥶. Winds from NW. But only couple days...back to 60 mid week. 🤷. Was same yesterday, so all livestock got overloaded hay last night as prep for today...I don't have rolls, just bales. The wind is bitter....💨

It was a good day yesterday, the guys fixed the run and I fed them homemade black bean chili and fresh made biscuits.

today, I have the chickens and dogs taken care of at 5am, made my breakfast and am watching Alister Begg preach, its 615am here,

Later we'll be off to gather for worship service,
I think it will quite busy this week, so I'll just rest today and no go to crazy with house chores.

have a blessed day!
