:p :D I'm just awesome that way :D

So... today starts my selftreatment. I have psorasis/excyma(i know, spelled wrong, on purpose! :tongue ) gluten contamination issues, and a possible staph infection. So, in addition to taking my normal regime of supplements I'm adding 50,000 IU of Vit D3, 1300mg of Borage Oil and 1-2mL of Dandelion Root 3times a day (ha! I can barely remember to take my pills once a day, they want me to drink the root 3 times a day?!!? Good luck to me!) I'm cutting back on my dairy, using just butter (which since I generally only use it on rice or when making eggs it's not often :) ) and trying to go with a more raw veggies in my diet thing. Some smarty party also suggested I do a colonic :smack Isn't my "wife" the greatest? :duc (although, now to be honest, I'm starting to wonder if my insurance covers that :D ) Now I just need to stop picking at the back of my neck, and need to take cool showers *sigh*

My arthritis is psoriasis gone into the joint capsules. Isn't it amazing how the gluten issues seem to go hand and hand with the psoriasis. :tongue

Feel better!

So, on sunday I posted that on Saturday we got 10 eggs, which is a deviation from the norm since we normally get the 10 eggs on Sunday. Well, on Tuesday, yesterday, we got another 10! Thats kinda amazing! Twice in less than seven days! Sweet! :)

So, I think either this month or next month I am going to see about paying the extra cost and shutting off our internet. It's an extra $60 a month I can put towards pretty much anything. If I take that, and an extra $140 I freed up by not having the car loan, I can pay an extra $100 on each of my student loans. That means I might actually be able to stick to my goal of walking away from my full time job in five years. Especially if I take an extra 400 twice a year, when we get those extra paychecks and put those to it as well :)

I am getting rid of two of our roosters. I promised CJ we wouldn't eat these two, since they had been bought for him and they are cute  (not to mention they are bantams so really, how much meat? :D ) So, I took pics of the two Mille Cochins and will post them in the BYC Colorado thread here shortly. Figure might as well give them a chance to pick them up, before I give them to total strangers :)

Also, I think I am going to need to redo the brooder set up we had with the whole cut out bottom two tubs in one thing and put the ducklings in it. The waterer in the main brooder just gets so disgusting so quickly! And its making that brooder smell something aweful!

So, we just had a "conversation" and it was decided that we are not giving up the internet. :smack

Aren't ducks fun???

I don't miss having babies in the house at all!

I am not sure what the dimensions are cause we used scrap lumber for the bottom frame and then just cut the 2x2s in 45 degree angles to fit. I'll go measure it for you and take some more pics of the inside so you can see how we braced it up. It took 3 of us to put it together....didn't take long to do though once we got the first couple of rows put together.

I would love to raise some turkeys in it but hubby is still reluctant to take the plunge. We have such good response from the meaties we sold in November we may have to do more this spring. We had several people that just bought 5 and now that they have eaten one they are wishing they had bought more.

It would be great to put ducks in until they get big enough the hawks won't get them. If we don't do more meaties that's what I'll use it for this spring cause I need 2 more duck hens.

Oh, and I think it ended up costing us about $130 for the whole shebang...not too shabby. We used chicken wire though and only on the bottom 2/3s cause we don't have much of a large predator issue here...knock on wood! We also thought of getting some plastic and using it as a greenhouse to start our seeds in.

You know, even with this, I still like the little stinkers! And I heard the oddest noise yesterday evening. figured out, we still have two of the bator babies in the brooder, and the roo baby was trying to crow! :D it was kinda sweet, and disturbing at the same time :D

thanks for the info, and for taking the time to do the measurments :) I really appreciate it :hugs
