This is my first attempt at it and am looking forward to the benefits of it both internally and externally.

I'm going to see if I can get my stepdad on it (his meds allowing) as his circulation isn't so good after his stroke. He stays cold and builds his woodstove fires hot enough to warm himself which makes the rest of us nearly die because it's so darn hot! :somad <---Not mad, that's how hot the rest of us are! :gig

I should be in bed but I think I'm still rushing after making 2 quarts of the fire cider!

I got both the guinea and chicken coop/runs re-tarped today and extended the garden fence on the west-side of the guinea coop.

Plus, I siphoned off the watermelon wine into another carboy and will do so again in another month. It's not bad but it's definately got some aging to do.

We've had a lot of rain in the past 2 days. Had good storms when we were at Mom's last night. I joked about how it should snow since I took her laundry down from the clothes line and din't have to have no arguments or ass-whoopins...about the time we all went to take our 1st bites, we had a bolt that was so bright that we we're all looking at each other like... :ep ... and then the clap of thunder nearly sent us through the roof! That's what I get for being a smart-ass! :/

I'promise to get this back to "the journey 2010" later since the threat of t-storms is over...phew, phew, phew...blowing the rain to someone else....

Stop blowing! It's supposed to hit us today and tomorrow. Or, blow it in a different direction. They need it in Texas, not Jersey!

hey D L,

all good..... still wasting O2! 6 rows of garlic in the ground (120 SQ FT) rainy day didn't get much accomplished. weather man says chances of flurries, i'm off till thur so bring it !!! lil mama gave me a knuckle bump on that one hehe.

as you know, the reason for dawn and i to be in y'all's neck of the woods was so that i could take my boiler operator's liscense exam in lil rock, whoop whoop mission accomplished, i am now a steam engeneer, yayweeee!!! i realy enjoy my job, we burn wood waste from our mfg process and produce steam for the drying kilns, heating the plant, hot water, and 50 to 70 K$ in electricity every month. pretty cool green job ay.

so anyway..... we're looking foward to the spring visit we're planning, a couple days longer and a few more activities involved.......

blessed day

:celebrate Congrats about the license! I knew you passed the test, but I guess it takes time for everything to be official. Enjoying your job makes life better and that seems to fit for you.

Enjoy your time off and your snow, but don't send much here. This town shuts down if they get a couple inches on the ground. I understand about the steep streets, but not some of the other places.
See y'all this spring. :)

:frow I'm back, again!

Still working out quirks with the new computer... :he ...but the headaches from beating my head against the wall are beginning to subside!

Not a whole lot to report on, been busy battening down the hatches as winter decided to arrive here early. We've had snow twice...we've been lucky to see snow flurries by Christmas since we've been living out here, this year we've already had about an inch and a half! :D

Finally got all the garlic in the ground. Six, 20 feet rows and wanted to get atleast two more rows in but the weather said I'm done. Had a super-wet November and been too cold to even get excited about playing, I mean planting, in the mud. Does this mean I'm getting old?

Not sure just when I'll get to posting pix of our earlier journey...they're on the computer but haven't figured out how to get to them yet. Sheesh, the newly rebuilt 'puter has as many, if not more, hurdles to jump as the old one did. :th

Well, my coffee break is over so I need to get back outside and finish chores but will be back later this evening!
