Did you have a nice trip? See you next fall...

Well that makes my kids giggle anyway..probably not so funny when you're grown. I can't imagine taking much of a spill these days. I don't bounce near as well as I used to :p Hope the knees are okay tomorrow. Stupid rocks! :hugs

Hi dl! :frow

Hope you and fd are doing well! :hugs I'm definately feeling the whooping from the driveway, but not as bad as I expected to, so that's a good thing. ;)

I wouldn't be doing as much seed starting if it wasn't for the couple of cold frames. Was thrilled to see that some of the Jersey Devil paste tomato seeds are starting to sprout. Got two kinds of Bee Balm, Marjoram, Anise, Calendula, German Chamomile and Marsh Mallow seeds sowed in pots today after getting "thrown" by the driveway. I'm holding off on starting cukes, melons and squash for right now due to still having a chance of frost/freeze and lack of space.

Wbf,

I sooo deserved my not-so-nice "trip" as I use that line on my niece all the time! :gig We grew up with it and I still get a giggle from it...just not when the action first happens. ;) I don't bounce at all any more and we've been joking about how I need one of those padded Sumo wrestler costumes. Only problem is, once I was down, I'd be stuck yelling "I've fallen and I can't get up" as I giggled myself into hysterics. It just seems like a no-win situation! :gig

It's still 64 here and we've got a chance of t-storms but everything is still south and east of us at this time. Oooooh, I think I just got a whiff of rain and we need it! :fl

We're supposed to get those winds today. And it's a shame. It's so nice out, I want to ride the bike. But I can't stand to ride it in the wind. If feels like it's trying to pull my helmet off, not a good feeling.

Dawn, hope you feel better and didn't do any damage to your knee. That's what I did, only on ice I didn't see, that caused the problem w/my knee. :hugs And yeah, that line is funny-until you're the one that's fallen!

Speaking of I've fallen and I can't get up, many years ago I had this for my answering machine. Hi, this is D, I've fallen and I can't get up, and J's having chest pains. But, if you leave you're name and number, ......hubby didn't find it as funny so I changed it. :(

Well, I no sooner smelled the rain, in that last post of mine, when the bottom dropped out of the bucket and I caught a flash of lighting off to the west. Got the computer turned off and everything unplugged in time before the storm hit at 2:34 a.m..

Temperature is 45 degrees right now, so the windows are closed and the heat is back on. According to the rain gauge, we've had an inch of rain in almost 24 hours. This is a good thing, for me at least, as my rain barrels were almost empty. If the rain ever takes a break today, I'll fill up some of my 2 liter soda bottle stash. :fl

Our guest cat showed up just in time for the storms to show up so I spent about 20 minutes outside with him between storms.

Had planned to get more seeds started today but don't feel like walking up to the shed in the rain so I'm reading through book 1 of the Foxfire series. I'd forgotten just what a fun read they are!

Feeling pretty good after the rock attack yesterday! My left knee was really stiff when I first got up but it's not too bad now unless I knock it into something...which is par the course. I think I've even hit it on a few things that aren't even there! :gig

Deb,

We know all to well what you mean about bikes and wind. When we got our scoot, we made a big run one day just because it was too pretty of a day not too. All was well until we hit the highway to head home and it wasn't sheltered by hills or trees. There were moments when some of the gusts felt like they were trying to pull me off of the bike...no fun at all!

Got a fresh pot of coffee on if anyone cares to join me! :caf

The bubble wrap is a better idea than the Sumo costume...I'd be able to pick myself back up that way! :gig

Glad you're ok. Be nice to yourself- no more smacking the ground with your knees. When you have a fight with the ground- it wins every time.

We are getting rain on and off all day and the temps dropping. I'm feeling like a wimp in my sweats, when I wore summer clothes the other day. So what. I'm not shivering if I don't have to.

Pinky you can pretty well bank on a hot dry summer after all this wet weathr this Spring. That's how it was last year. we spent a small fortune watering the garden. I need to dig a hole out back and sink a hand pump in it ;)

yeah...I'd pop the bubble wrap too...at least I'd be too busy doing that to hurt myself though. I guess I could get overly excited and break a nail though.. CRAP...nothings safe anymore
