Well, he's talking about taking a shower in the morning, so I think I'm going to go get mine!
:woot Later Deb, enjoy it. I'm about to hit the shower myself.
I enjoyed it! Now, if the power goes out again, at least I'm clean! I put clean sheets on the bed and feel so much better. And, at this time next week, I'll feel even better!

Today was quite hectic. First, I had to work, and instead of getting done at 12:00, I got done at 12:30. Then, I couldn't open the door to my tack shed. W/all the rain that we've had, it was swollen shut. I finally had to borrow a cat's paw to see if I could open it. It took a bit, but I did manage to get it opened, and I didn't damage anything.

My son called all in a panic. He heard that the dam on the lake had blown, and he wanted to be sure we ere OK. Even if the dam does break, we'd be okay. Were' on the wrong side of the lake, plus it's a bit higher here. When I got done work, I went and checked it out. The water has now receded. It is now no longer flowing over the road. But, the road is still blocked off. I think there's some damage to the road.

Tonight I went canoeing again as a volunteer. And, w/all the rain that we've had, we did something we haven't been able to do in years! We went upstream! I don't know how many dams were were able to go over or around B4 we got to a spot w/trees down that we couldn't get around. But, we did it. I felt like Lewis and Clark w/the exploring. After all, to the best of our knowledge, no one has been on this part of the stream for years! There was just one thigns missing, I wold have loved to have made a fire on the beach, had a cookout, and roasted marshmellows. And, at least 1 other person felt the same. But, even w/out that, it was a good day.

OK, I'm falling asleep. Good night.

Wow Deb, sounds like a great day!
It was. I felt so relaxed when I was done. I so don't want to go to work today. But, only a few more days, and I'm free! :weee I may still work the odd day if she needs someone, but that would be it.

Abi, it was. I can't even begin to describe the sense of adventure I felt as we were going down this stream. I've always been one that likes to explore, wants to know what's around the next corner. Then, once I've found out, I'm quite happy to go home and relax. I'm so looking forward to having time to really work w/Misty this fall. I want to ride much more than I do, and need to know she's not going to spook at everything if we're by ourselves. I know people say it's dangerous to ride by yourself, and it is. But, I'm getting to the point where more and more, I don't want to ride in a group.

Well, makes sense to me. I like adventure and being alone. When I still drove, I would randomly pull off in the mountains and camp. Most weekends. :)
