I wanted to have an auto start thingy put on my car, but now I'm not so sure! I know from experience dragging up wood for a fire to keep warm can really wear someone out! It did me at least and I wasn't recovering from anything.

I would definitely get your truck looked at Deb! I've had two friends cars catch fire because of those auto-start things! I wonder if someone in the area has one too and, when they start theirs, they start yours too? That would be a simple fix (change the code), but I'd have it checked out asap.

I doubt that it's from someone elses vehicle. I've noticed it only does it if I use the button for something other than unlocking the truck-unless I drive it. Plus, it started 2 more times between when I got up and when I left for the farm. So, that was 5x! Hubby keeps saying he's going to get it checked out, but doesn't, and the dealership we bought the truck from is no longer in business. I never wanted the auto-start. Hubby wanted me to have it. I rarely use it.

Rathbone, yes I have a sassafras tree. Actually, I have a few of them. Sassafras is a common tree in this area. It has both it's good points and bad as fire wood. It catches fire easily, which is good when you're trying to get the fire going, but it burns fast, so it's not good when you want your fire to last all night. I'll burn it, but either when I don't need the fire for long, when I'm having trouble getting the fire to start, or mixed in w/a bunch of other wood.

I got more done today! I was able to get another load of laundry out on the line today as well as iron some shirts. :bun And, I was able to bring home a bunch more wood. I'll have to do wood in the morning tomorrow since I have therapy in the afternoon. Plus, there's a chance of some rain and snow in the afternoon, so I need to do it early, not later.

I also got some dishes done, took out the trash and the recyclables, and washed half the kitchen floor! My kitchen is fairly large (at least to me), so I normally only do 1/2 of the floor at a time. The water is dirty enough when I get done, I can just imagine how bad it would be if I did the whole floor!

When I got to the farm, first thing I did was look for Noisy. I fed the cats, but saw no sign of her. So, I headed over to my tack shed. I opened the door, and there was Cindy. I closed the door and listened. Nothing! Plus, there was still quite a bit of feed in the dish, the water bowl wasn't empty, and the litter box wasn't as full. So, I think I've been able to keep her out!

I answered another ad on CL, but haven't heard back. But that's OK. I didn't really have the money anyway. Some had a fold up cot w/a mattress for $40. Depending on how good it is, I wouldn't have minded having the mattress. I'd rather have that than an air mattress in my tack shed. But, I can wait. I don't need it right now, so it's not that big a deal.

Yay! No kitty!!!!

I hope you get your starter problem fixed soon. My BIL has that also and I will ask him if he has had that happen.

Have a great, productive and relaxing day?! Is that even possible?

I hope you are feeling Good today. So sassafras burns hot? Hmmm... Interesting. Someone was burning mesquite today. I could smell it while I was walking to work. Smelled oh so good. (although I will confess it put me in mind of a steak).

Steak sounds good right about now, I'm eating pizza. It was easy and I didn't feel like messing w/making anything else. It's just a store bought frozen-I've never made and frozen pizza B4, and don't have the time right now to figure out how to do it.

Today kind of relaxing, and kind of not. I just didn't feel like doing anything this morning, so I read part of a book. I also wasn't feeling that hungry or that great. So, I went out and dragged home a bunch more wood. Some is cut and in my basement, some is not cut but in my wood shed-it's raining right now, and it's supposed to turn to snow. :/ I used to have a battery operated chainsaw and boy do I miss that thing! There is a ton of wood in there that's just the right diameter, but too long and too heavy for me to get out. If I had that chainsaw, I could cut the pieces down to size, then bring it home and finish cutting it w/my electric. But, I managed to get what I need. And, hubby has promised to look at my saw and see if he can fix it. If not, I'll just have to wait until I can afford to buy another.

I was a bit late leaving today, so I didn't even bother w/breakfast. But then again, I also wasn't hungry. I did, however, want a cup of tea. So, I threw some teabags in a container, grabbed a pack of mini muffins and a frozen thing of turkey noodle soup and left. Got the horses fed, then made my tea and relaxed w/that and the muffins. I was really feeling out of it, so I decided to curl up on my cot and take a nap. But, I bent my leg too much! Boy did that hurt!

By the time I got up, it was time to give Stormy his 2nd feeding. Did that, and heated up my soup. Of course, Cindy thought I should share it w/her, but I wouldn't do it. And, I came up w/a great idea. I've been taking the tray down everyday, folding it up and the chair and leaning them against the wall. Today, I shoved the thing I have all my dishes and food in over a few inches. That meant I had enough room to leave it up. And, I can see out my door when I'm sitting in the chair! So, for now, it will stay up.

Once Stormy was done eating, I put him away, then went to therapy. By the time I left, it was starting to rain. I fed the goats and bunnies in the rain, got a shower, did some dishes and now I'm relaxing for a bit B4 heading off to prayer meeting. I was hoping they'd cancel it, but no such luck.

Last night I had a dream. It was a much better dream than Pinky's zombie dreams and I really, really wish it were true. I dreamt someone I just barely knew died. They had no family so they left me all their money-almost 2.2 million! I know I gave some to the church, paid off bills and was very cautious w/the rest. Though I do remember having a really nice barn. Misty was in my dream-but not any of my other horses, so I don't know where they were. But, I really wish someone I didn't really know would leave me that kind of money.

I'm really tired, so I think I might go back to bed for awhile. I can hardly wait until Saturday. I can sleep in.

Today for the first time in I don't know how long I started up my mower. (I did have to jump it, but that's normal.) And, I cleaned part of my field! I can't run the tractor yet, but I figured this only has one pedal, and it's on the left, so my right leg didn't need to do anything. I didn't have a lot of gas though, so I didn't go and dump it. (I'll be getting gas tomorrow.) I didn't really want to run out of gas B4 I was able to park, so decided this was better.

Angel laid me another egg! I still don't know where Roxi is laying her's, and I haven't seen any from Penny. But, I got the incubator out today and even if I only have a few eggs, I'll be getting it going this week and putting in eggs next week. I've been watching Roxi to see if I can find where she's laying, but I haven't really been out there long enough during the day to figure it out. Tomorrow, though, I'll be there earlier-I have therapy at 8:00, so when I'm done, I'll be heading straight out.

Once I got home, I finally got all caught up on the clothes I needed to iron. I also got a load folded, just not put away, I'll be doing that tomorrow (I hope) as well as finally sorting out a bunch of socks.

I went out in the woods, and dragged home a bunch more wood and cut it up. I'm starting to run out of stuff that I can get to easily that small enough for me to drag out. So, I talked to my hubby. Over the weekend, he's going to help me get my generator in the back of my pickup. (He has a bad back, and can't do a lot of the stuff I do) Then, I'm going to drive to a certain point, start up the generator and cut a bunch of logs to truck size. I'm hoping I can get a whole truck load. Then, I won't have to work so hard to get the wood home.

Right now, I have a load of clothes in the washer. I forgot to wash them earlier, so they won't be going out on the line. Instead, they'll be going in the dryer.

I'm starting to see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. I'm one step closer to being back to normal (or what passes for normal for me.)
