I'm not. I know I'm not going to get all better in a day, and that if I overdo, I can actually put myself back a step or 2, so I don't do too much.

We have quite a number of trees in our yard, mostly oak w/a handful of hickory, cherry, red maple, sassafras, pine and red cedar. I think I counted about 100 trees at one point in time. And, unless there's a problem w/the tree, normally it's left alone. (Though we did take out a bunch of pine when we first moved in since they were so close to the house we couldn't keep the gutters clean.) And, other than the larger branches, normally I don't bother w/burning the smaller stuff-unless I have a fire in the back yard.

I figure I have at least another week, if not 2 B4 I can do firewood, and I just don't have that much wood cut and split. So, this afternoon, I went out in the front yard and collected enough of the smaller stuff to probably burn all night. I also got probably enough stuff that I have to cut but not split to last for tomorrow. So, it looks like for now, I'll be burning the little stuff.

The weather is still staying fairly nice. And, while I can't get down on my knees to work in my garden, I can sit on a stool. So, in all probability, this week, I should be able to get started again!

Roxy is apparently found a different place to lay her eggs. I'm going to have to watch her to see if I can figure out where. Since my operation, I've only gotten 2 eggs, and they were on the Friday and Sunday. Nothing since. Today, I went to feed my chickens. In spite of people assuring me that they'd put the new bag of feed in the can for me over the weekend, it wasn't done. So, I had to do it. Wasn't sure I'd be able to, but I did. And, I found a nice surprise when I did. Angel laid an egg! I had been going to wait until after the horse expo to set up my incubator. But, if I can figure out where Roxy is laying her eggs and if Angel keeps laying, I think I'll do it the week B4. Then, hubby can keep an eye on the temp and humidity while I'm gone.

I'm tired. B4 I put my cot in my tack shed, I had it down in front of the fire. I kind of miss having it here. Now I can't take a nap in front of the fire.

Didn't sleep very well last night, so I was kind of dragging today. I was able to wash a load of clothes, and hang them on the line! Then, I started working on collecting and cutting up the little stuff in the yard. Only problem being? Most of it was too far gone to really burn good, so instead, I turned to the woods. After all, the owner asked me why I wasn't getting wood from in there. I was able to drag home enough for tonight and still have a small pile to cut tomorrow, and I've barely made a dent in the amount of downed wood in there. This was all stuff that I don't need to split. But, it took me about 2xs as long as normal to get it all done.

By the time I finally got to the farm, I was really dragging. I had planned on doing as much work as I was able to, but decided instead that I was just going to feed the horses, then sit back in my tack shed and work on studying Galatians.

I get to the farm and feed RU's cats. Only a few came running. There's 2 calicos that look almost identical. And, it's one of those that's been getting in my shed. I saw the one, but wasn't really sure which it was. I open my tack shed, saw Cindy, but no sign of the other calico. W/out thinking, I left the door opened for a bit, then remembered about it and went and shut it. I get the horses and chickens fed, gave some water to a couple of RU's horses and head back to my tack shed. I'm all set to relax.

I open the door to the tack shed. And I thought I heard a noise. This cat that gets in makes the weirdest sounds. I've never heard another cat do it. I don't know if it was maybe injured at some point in time and this is the result, or what. But just like Captain Hook always knows when the crocodile is around because of the ticking clock, I always know when this cat is around. It can't stay quiet for long. This time, it was hiding under my cot. :somad I'm able to get it out and shut the door. Then, I get out my TV tray and fold up chair, set them up, get out my Bible, glasses, study guide and a pencil and sit back to do some studying. Cindy thought that was a great idea and decided that my lap was a good place for her to be.

I had been studying for maybe 20, 25 minutes when I heard Noisy. She was right outside of my tack shed. The door to my shed has glass at the top, so I sit back and watch out the window. It doesn't take too long B4 I hear her leap off of the tool box. Then, I could see her tail and about 3/4 of her body. She was hanging onto the top of the 2x4 w/her front paws, and working her way over until she was able to get up on it. So, I removed Cindy and went and got my longe whip. Sure enough, it was only a couple of seconds B4 I saw her face in the gap. I started yelling at her, and poking at her w/the longe whip. She decided this wasn't a good place to be and left. There is now a board nailed from the 2x4 to the bottom of the roof. I doubt she'll be able to get in now. Tomorrow will tell.

From the farm I went to therapy. He had me doing more than last time. Now, I'm REALLY tired! Plus, I woke up w/a stiff neck. I was going to do some dishes when I got home. Ain't going to happen. I have dinner cooking and will probably go to bed early tonight. Hopefully, I'll be able to get some more wood tomorrow. Hubby's talking about buying a cord of wood. But, I have a $15.00 co-pay every time I go to therapy. I have to go for at least 4 weeks. That's more than the cost of a cord of wood. If I can keep from getting it, I'll be happy.

I would have slept better last night if it wasn't for my truck! It has the auto start on it. Every once in a while, it will start on its own! It started up 2x last night while I was asleep, and 1x B4 :he. I've tried taking the battery out of the remote for it, but that does no good.

So many things you have said that I wanted to comment on but really what my mind keeps going back to is "you have a sassafras tree?!"

call the dealer and see if there is a easy fix. Remember this IS a SAFETY DEFECT and the maker is tesponsible forever even if not bought directly from a dealer.

That is the really hard thing about therapy, whatever you do, once you go, the day is OVER. You're lucky yours is only a $15.00 copay... mine was $40!!!! They were kind enough to let me just come once a week instead of the usual 2x, and thankfully it worked out ok like that. I probably could have progressed faster if I had gone more often, but there was NO way I could afford that. As it was, I stayed in PT for the better part of a year after my surgery, and really could have used more, but the stupid insurance cut me off.

Glad you figured out the cat's tricks! Nice when you can watch them :D
