Sorry to hear about your shoulder, Deb. or maybe I should do this instead... ...wouldn't wanna have you do that to me for making your shoulder hurt worse with a hug!
I didn't sleep that well last night. Every time I moved, I woke up. So, I slept in as much as I could today. And, I didn't really get much done today. RU called and asked if I wanted her to feed the horses, I told her to go ahead. That made my life a bit easier. Hubby and I went to a couple of different stores, and picked up a couple of things he needs to built the coop. We also went to a local supermarket and got our free ham. That's in the freezer now since I already have one in the fridge. Other than that, I didn't really get anything done. But, my shoulder doesn't hurt as much. I actually have it out of the sling right now, and it's not really hurting! Tomorrow, the family is going to all help me tomorrow. I think I'll be fine in just another day or two.
My only problem w/sleeping is that I want to roll over onto my left side. And, as soon as I do that, I wake up! It feels much better this morning, though.
Guess I shouldn't be so surprised. The family all promised to help me get the house cleaned up the rest of the way. I needed the house cleaned, and the dinner pretty much underway by 1:30. My parents were coming over for dinner. And, because of my shoulder, I didn't get done what I wanted done. Got up this morning, and had to do dishes-no one did them all weekend long. We've talked about moving stuff around in the linen closet-the tp, paper towels and tissues were all the way in the top, the beach and animal towels were at the bottom. And, those towels don't get used that often. We just bought tp yesterday, so since I had to put them away, decided to get that switched around today. Hubby had been going to help. I did it myself.
I didn't have time to do any more. I had junior church this morning and had to finish my lesson. I was just barely able to leave on time. I got home from church-the house looked the same, and no one was home. Right about the time that I got changed, DH and DD came home. DD's car was leaking power steering fluid, so DH had to fix that. DD was supposed to help me. She helped me get the chicks cleaned (they stunk!), then she and DH did move stuff out of the living room, but they didn't really clean it, just moved it. I had wanted the floor vacuumed. It didn't happen. The only other thing she did was when DS got there, they went and got a couple of folding chairs from down in the basement. I cooked the rest of dinner-and ALMOST had it done by 2:00. My mom set the table and helped me get everything out. After dinner, my mom helped me clean up. I made apple crisp, and ran the dishwasher. So, as usual, the family did next to nothing when I really needed help. :/
In other news, we were supposed to go for a beach ride tomorrow. I really didn't want to go. I've been, and it was boring. It's not like riding in warm weather on a tropical beach. We're talking SJ and cold weather! (You can't ride there in the summer.) I was never consulted about this ride. Someone happened to mention it, and THAT'S how I found out. No one asked me if that day was good for me. And, the majority of the others going do not own either a truck or a trailer. My truck is not running properly and is NOT up to a haul that far. Plus, I won't haul more than 3 horses, and only if they're not too large. They wanted to take 4 horses. So, the plan was to use CL's truck to haul my trailer and I'd drive since CL isn't used to hauling. Well, they're calling for winds of over 20 mph! Some of them are saying we should play it by ear, and see what it's like in the morning. I have NO desire to drive 2 hours, and not be able to ride. Nor do I want to be pulling a trailer that far in those kinds of winds. CL lives over an hour away from the farm. She also wasn't consulted about the date, and it's not really a good day for her. She was going to go just because they needed her truck. Well, we talked tonight. And, we don't care what the others say. We're not going. If the others want to go, that's on them. They're not using my trailer, nor her truck. I'm so glad that I have someone that agrees w/me, makes it that much easier. And she agrees that the ride is kind of boring.
