Water is in the field, there's nothing that can be done about it since there's so much clay in the soil, it takes time to soak in. And, my horses don't have a barn perse, but a run in. There's just a dirt floor-except in Honey's "stall". It has pea gravel in it. All the stalls will have that eventually, but I'm not sure when it will happen.

Had to go to TSC this morning, the bank and a store, so I had to go down the main road. And, while they were still working on it, they no longer had a detour! :celebrate That meant that there was just normal traffic on the road today. I got to the farm, got everyone fed, let Stormy out to graze, then went and got out my mower and started to clean the field. Well, there were a ton of "land" mines all over! I had to watch were I was driving the mower. Several times I couldn't go where I wanted because of all the piles of manure. It took me almost 2 full carts to get the field clean! But at least it's done, I got out the tractor and shoved all the manure in a pile, and, I got more of the fence line cleaned. I should have all the inside line cleaned by the end of next week by the latest. I also got more of the area cleaned in front of the tack shed. I'm getting to where I HATE buttercups! I'm trying my hardest to have everything weeded by the end of the month. That way, if I do get the job, I won't have a ton of stuff that still needs to be done. I'm hoping to start getting to the farm by 7:00, and leave by 12:00. And, I'm hoping I can have time to work w/a horse everyday.

Went out to the farm early this morning and fed the horses. Once that was done, hubby and I left to do some errands. We had some stuff to work on, but neither of us wanted to have a bunch of people bothering us again. And, the one store we wanted to go to closes at 12:00. We got home at around 1:30! Ate some lunch, relaxed for a bit (hubby fell asleep), hung out a load of laundry, fed the animals, then left to go back out to the farm. It was later than we wanted it to be, so we got right to work. And, the fence around the run is finished! We had most of the 6 ft fence up, but needed to get the rest of that up, get up the 2 ft fence where needed, and reroute the electric fencing around the run. Well, that's all done! DH had to add some pieces of wood to the fence posts along where the 4 ft fence was. The posts were in the ground too far to make the fence 6 ft., so we needed to extend them.

It took longer than we thought it would, but it's done! We now need to make the gates, put the "roof" over the run and finish the coop. Once that's done, I'll FINALLY be able to pen up my birds when needed. I'll be able to get the nuggets out to the farm. And right now, I'm beat! It was close to 9:00 when we got home. I'm so glad I did the animals B4 we left. I don't know if I would have had enough energy to do them when we finally made it home.

And, I see I missed all the excitement again. Oh well.

I'll be glad when it's all done. I have no idea where one of my birds is laying her eggs. Plus I know she's being bred by KN's rooster. Once I get it all done and they're used to being fed in there, I'll just let them out when I'm at the farm. Plus, if I'm able to keep everybody else's birds out of my area, it will mean they're NOT getting in w/my birds! And, it will make my life so much easier.

Went out to the farm this afternoon to feed animals and bag feed. I was in w/the chickens looking to see if Angel had laid an egg. I didn't see an egg, but I had a bug fly up my nose! Believe me, that was not very comfortable. I tried doing like a horse, and just exhaling hard thru the nose, nothing doing. The bug was still in there. And, it was moving! :ep The only way I was able to get the dumb thing out was to put my finger on the other side of my nose so I could close the air off of that side, and then blow hard! And even then, it just barely came out. I'm so glad that doesn't happen often!

Bugs can get in the worst places! I've heard of people having to go to the doctor because of having a bug get stuck in their ear!

Happy Mothersday Deb :D

I like your new signature line by the way. How are the horses doing? Do you go trail riding much? I haven't had much time to do anything, but I think I have my bee situation slowly under control, as well as my brood mare situation. What will I ever do if that is all taken care of  I did look into some stock trailers per your suggestions but no luck so far on anything the size we need :(
