I realized this morning we have another roo to kill. We have one that must have been late developing because I really truly thought this was a hen.
But today it looked so obviously like a rooster I felt silly. We ate his brother two months ago when he began crowing. This one still does not crow but has begun to mate with the hens. That is why I was checking it out closely today. Sure enough, it is developing rooster feathers. But this bird is nine months old! And it still doesn't crow. I thought that seemed weird.
