DS was on my computer doing some stuff (updating?) and I couldn't get onto any forums again! And I just didn't feel like getting on and getting my passwords again. This weather has been so crazy that I'm finding it hard to get stuff done. Plus my allergies are now up because tree pollen is high.

My broody hatched out 6 chicks! That's a 100% hatch rate from her. They are now in my broody area. These chicks will either be sold or eaten. I hadn't planned on having a broody then, and wasn't able to do any selective breeding. My older chicks are now 3 weeks old so tomorrow I'll be setting up the incubator. There's some crosses I want from KN's chickens so I got 7 eggs from her. Any that I get from this hatch that I want will be added to the flock. I have 3 different types of eggs and I want a pullet from each type of egg. She was trying to do some selective breeding of a couple of hens and the one rooster. I wanted some pullets from the other rooster and the other hens and this is around the time I wanted to try and get some, so it worked out well. Later in the summer I'll be shutting up my one rooster w/4 hens-3 green layers and one brown laying broody. I'm hoping she'll decide to go broody for me.

I still don't have my plants all transplanted. Hubby's supposed to make me a shelf and he hasn't done so. I just might have to clean out the greenhouse and put them out. I kind of hate to do that but I need to get them outside and start getting them used to the weather. But it's a good thing I didn't have them out last night-it got down to 27*!

I haven't eaten any dinner yet so I think I need to go make myself something to eat the maybe go to bed early.

Today was a very busy day. I got my bathroom cleaned, ironed some clothes and did some of the dishes B4 going to church. After church, I went home, got changed, ate lunch then went out to the farm. We had a riding club meeting. I have the book Centered Riding by Sally Swift. We've started reading that and I also talked about some of the stuff that I've been learning in my lessons. As a result, the club decided to get more copies of the book so we can all work on what's in there together. I'm glad. I think it will help us all quite a bit.

I honestly didn't want to go home after the meeting. Hubby was drunk B4 I left so I cleaned up where we had the meeting. Then I got hay in my hay bag, put it in my trailer and put my tack and grooming supplies in my truck. I have a lesson tomorrow morning, so this way it will make it easier to make it on time (8:00 am).

Once home, I got animals fed then finished the ironing, washed and hung out a small load of clothes and got my incubator cleaned and set up. I'll be putting eggs in it in the morning.

Tomorrow is going to be another busy day. Since I have my lesson so early I'm not getting on here in the morning. Instead I'll do some housework B4 leaving for my lesson. And since I still don't have a shelf, I'm just going to put what I have in containers outside. I'm just not sure where I'm going to put them. I don't want my chicken in them!

So my list for tomorrow is:

1. Housework
2. Make no bake cookies
3. Put eggs in the incubator
4. Put plants out
5. Normal farm chores
6. Lesson
7. Work
8. Work in garden
9. Dentist appointment
10. Start work on new chicken house
11. Clean goat pen
12. Dishes

I think that's plenty and I need to get to bed soon.

Yeah, they're so easy to make and take so little time. It gives me something to hold me over if I get hungry.

Didn't get everything done on my list this morning. I got up a bit later than expected so I didn't have time to do any house work. I did get the eggs in the incubator and got the plants out! I think they enjoyed being out in the greenhouse.

My lesson today was quite interesting. Misty is in heat. As soon as I got her off the trailer she was trying to flirt w/the boys. She was good when I mounted, but after that I had to really work for everything. She was so interested in the boys that she didn't want to walk when I told her to. And once I got her moving, she was walking slow as molasses and sashaying while she walked. She didn't want to trot and when I got hot and took off my vest she started spooking. I couldn't tell you how many times I've taken it off w/out it bothering her in the least. I was going to drop it on the ground near a jump. It didn't end up there. She went from spooking to freaking and I had my hands full. She was ready to start bucking but I was able to get her calmed down. Of course, I dropped my vest in the process. So part of my lesson was spent getting her to stand still while EH rubbed it on her, handed it to me, had me hand it to her, etc.

After that I worked for a few hours, then went home. I needed to sit for a bit. I checked my appointment book to see what time my dentist appointment was for. According to my book, my appointment was supposed to be next week. And since they normally call to confirm it, I figured I must have the day wrong. Well, I didn't. They said they called on Friday-they didn't. So, I had to reschedule. I also didn't work on the chicken house, clean the goat pen or do dishes. I did, however, spend quite a bit of time working in the garden. I should have it done by the end of the week.

I'm going to be leaving early every day this week, so I'm not getting on in the morning this week at all. So I'm making my list tonight. So here's my list for tomorrow:

1. Dishes
2. Housework
3. Transplant some of my seedlings and stick what I can outside
4. Feed store
5. Normal farm chores
6. Bible Study
7. Doctors' appointments
8. Errands
9. Go out to eat
10. Feed home animals
11. Work in garden

That's plenty and I need to get to bed soon.

Today was a good day. I got the trash and recyclables out, did some dishes, threw a load of clothes in the washer and changed the sheets on my bed. (That was my housework for the day. ) Then I repotted some plants and put them in the greenhouse. I'm kind of sorry I did though. It was much hotter than they were calling for, and I think I may have lost some. :(

Worked for awhile, then went to the farm. Hadn't been there long when KN showed up. She had some time between bus runs and wanted to get on her horse, HB. She also did the smart thing-she came when I was there. So I took some time out of what I was doing to help her. She was a bit nervous about getting on so I got on first. HB was good. I rode her just a bit, then got down and KN got on. She didn't ride long, but at least she rode.

I got my cart filled w/manure, but couldn't dump it. I have a flat on my mower and compressor isn't working! So, I couldn't put air in my tire.

Since I helped KN, I didn't have as much time to work on my chicken house as I expected. But I did get started. I didn't do a whole lot, just cut a scrap 4x4 into 1 ft sections for legs. Then I fed Stormy. While he ate, I used the shedding blade on him. I got some of his winter coat off, but not all of it.

Once he was done eating, I put my bitless bridle on Misty then took her out of the field. I didn't do anything w/her, just let her graze some. I'm hoping to do this every chance I get, then eventually I'm going to get on her bareback. I think she needs this. More often than not when I ride it's for a lesson. So I'm hoping that if I start riding a bit asking basically nothing of her she'll be more relaxed when I have my lesson.

When I got home, I brought the clothes out, then set up an area for the chicks. For the first time since they hatched out, they got to be outside and they didn't know what to think of it. While I was out working, they stayed out. I got the clothes hung out, then worked in the garden. I got done the amount I wanted to get done and did some work in the goat pen!

I won't be on in the morning again, so here's my list for tomorrow:

1. Repot more plants
2. Laundry
3. Dishes
4. Housework
5. Work
6. Normal farm chores
7. Work on hen house
8. Work w/Misty
9. Work in garden
10. Goat pen
11. Get a hair cut
12. Feed animals

Hopefully I'll get it all done.

Had to make a change to my list today. I was getting ready to leave the farm when I noticed lightening. So rather than heading for the hairdresser's, I headed straight home and I got a bit wet getting there. I was hoping that we didn't get any rain at my house, but no such luck. So the clothes I had out on my line got wet. But since they were dryer than the ones I had in the washer, I took them down, threw them in the dryer and hung out the other load.

Since there was still the chance of rain rather than working in the garden and in the goat pen, we ran some errands that we were going to run tomorrow. But other than that, I got my list done!

I need to leave early tomorrow as well but I'm not 100% sure what all I'm going to get done. So, I'm not making a list tonight.

More like stubbornness. I push myself too hard at times cuz I want to get my list done.

Wasn't able to get on last night. Hubby got stupid drunk and was yelling and screaming at me. The only reason I didn't leave was because of what I had to do today. And all the prep work I had planned on doing last night I had to do this morning.

Today was the annual Run For the Sun for CMA. That's an annual motorcycle ride that's done to raise funds. And, since I'm the road captain, I was in charge of planning the route. The president and I spent about 5 hours yesterday driving the route and tweaking it. (Which is why hubby was yelling and screaming at me since I spent 5 hours driving around w/another guy. I had told him a few times that we'd be doing this and he never said anything against it. I would have had someone go w/me if I knew he was going to act so nuts.)

We almost left on time. I was really enjoying the ride. We had a planned stop for gas, potty break, etc. We weren't too far from it when my bike started to sound different. So I started praying that I could make it to the stop and check it out. We're coming up to the stop. I have my turn signal on, and had slowed down to turn into the parking lot when my bike stopped dead and I went off. There's a pipe, not really sure what it does, but I think it's part of the exhaust system. The top part lost a bolt and the bottom came off. And when I turned, the pipe managed to wedge itself between the fender and my tire! That of course stopped the tire from spinning, and that stopped the bike. I wasn't hurt, Thank God, but wasn't able to ride my bike for the rest of the ride. I don't have motorcycle chaps, but have them for horseback riding and had worn them this morning since it was cool out. Otherwise, I would have messed up my one knee. I had to call my hubby and he, my DS, DD and DSIL came down and got the bike in my truck. I had to lead the ride from the front seat of a car that we had following us. That put us way off schedule and we were late for the meet up that all the chapters in the area had. Hubby thinks he can fix my bike though, so I should have it back soon.

The person that I rode w/for the rest of the ride doesn't live that far from me, so she drove me home. Once home, I got my truck, went out to the farm took care of Stormy and the chickens, put out hay and got stuff set up for tomorrow, then went home. At home I got the goats, chickens and bunny taken care of, collected eggs, checked the plants in the greenhouse and got clothes off the line. Now I'm relaxing. I need to check the chicks and the last plants I have in the basement. Then I'm hoping to make myself something to eat soon and go to bed.

Didn't have time to make my list this morning, and won't have time to make one in the morning. I did make a list in my head, and got it all done! I folded and put away 2 loads of clothes. I washed a load and hung them out. I did a little bit of housework. I did normal farm chores and animal chores at home. I went to work for a few hours. I did dishes and hubby and I finished weeding his section of the garden! Since I'm not getting on in the morning, I'm going to make my list now. I'm thinking it would be nice to go to bed soon. So, here's my list:

1. Laundry
2. Housework
3. Normal farm chores
4. Bible Study
5. Clean up parking area
6. Work in garden
7. Trash and recyclables
8. Dishes
9. Home animals
10. Fellowship run w/CMA

That's enough for tomorrow.
