At about this point I start thinking T-post! At least for some of the posts that need replaced. Much easier just to bang those in than all of that digging.

That is exactly one of the reasons we got out of big horses! We have had a couple that were escape artists. One was a beautiful, freaky smart paint stud that would destroy a fence in any way we could. The other was ds's gelding a couple of years later. They were too much of a liability. We spent the day fishing once and came home to meet animal control coming back from our place with a horse trailer trying to find us. our horses had apparently gotton out that morning. Somebody had seen them and tried to herd them with a 4 wheeler and they ended up about 4 miles away in someone's yard with the stud leading them. They were wild eyed and running. We couldn't get near them and they hit the woods. They finally quit running about a mile away(headed home thankfully!) and we were able to catch them and lead them back out to the road. I was scratched up from head to toe and exhausted. Things like that have really ruined big horses for me. No amount of riding can make up for bad experiences like that.

Is there anyway RU or whomever owns the horse boarding farm rent a post hole digger?I spent all weekend reading your entire journal, and honestly you remind me of myself in alot of ways. I am keeping you and your family in my prayers. I am praying for your husband's addiction and for a restoration in your family as well.

Well, I got a lot of posts in today. I had 2 more to go in the one area, but ran out of time. I would have gotten them all in, but I had 1 that had a ton of rocks in the area, and one where I hit something and had to keep going around it until I found a place I could dig. I would have had it all done, but since I was waiting for some help w/the big posts, I kept putting it off. Now, I'm not. I want this done. It will make my life so much easier to have it done. I'm going to be working on them and the big one tomorrow. Then, on Wednesday, I'll be working on moving gates and more fence poles, then on Thursday, I'll get the last of the poles in. Then on Friday, I'll get all the fencing up-as well as the electric and clean the crud out of my field. Then next week, I can start working on cleaning out the "stalls", and getting them made!
Right now, I'm taking a short break. Then, I'm going to go down and work on cleaning my basement some more. I HAVE to be done a certain section by Wednesday. I have a table I need to put there. Once it's in, I can set up my incubator, and get the temp adjusted. Then, I can put my eggs in and hope for chicks!
I had 6 eggs in the turner, but I ate them. (Of course, they wouldn't have hatched anyway. They were chocolate filled w/caramel. 
)

Yeah, I'd like a bunny or chicken that lays them too! As it was, I behaved myself. They were on clearance for a quarter each. I only bought 6. I could have bought a whole lot more! But I also know that I would go thru them really fast, so I just got the 6.
Oh, and as for RU renting a post hole digger, the problem is, it takes 2 people to run it. I'm not about to ask her for help-she's not that far along on her recovery yet, and it's rare for anyone else to be there when I am. Actually, putting the posts in isn't that bad-unless it's dry, or there's a lot of stones. Normally, it takes me about 10, 15 minutes.
