They are WAY over due for freezer camp but I cannot process them in fecal contaminated water. You would think in 4 week they could get this crap fixed. Sounds like you need a Big Berkey or need to get creative and find some charcoal, sand and 4 inch PVC pipe or a food grade plastic barrel and start filtering your own water. Boiling is way too energy demanding and expensive. You could use a large pressure cooker canner and run a copper coil of 1/4" tubing off the steam outlet which makes great distilled water and does it pretty fast.

I agree I do but I need to figure out the exact HOW to do it lol... :hu

Jacksonville got flooded by Mauvistere creek and it flooded the water tx plant. NO ONE expected it would take this long and the city wasn't prepared. This was the biggest flood Jville has seen in at least over my 40 yrs of knowing.
My water is rural water coop and the jville tx plant evidentally is where our water goes before going to out holding facility thing. Jvill was lifted friday but out coop is supposedly in the final staged of testing to get it back up to par but wholly cow I never expected it to take this long.

Water treatment is definitely on my SS to do list and has been bumped up in priority. :th

Well finally the boil order has been lifted!!!

Working on green beans today and need to pick sweet corn and work in the garden and a million other things, but just realized DD13 has a 4h meeting at 6:30 so all my projects come to a screeching halt.

I guess I will just have to wait and work on them tomorrow. I have two days in a row off and I cant get anything done because of everything else and "surprise" issues.. :barnie

Sometimes I just wanna give up and say forget all this canning, gardening, and working myself into the ground ect ect.... But I don't because I know I will regret it tomorrow... or the next day...or the next...... :he

Life just really sucks, because I have crap planned and then everyone else screws it up. But if I have nothing "scheduled" Noone bothers me. Isn't thaqt just the way it is GRRRR...

:rant End of rant, thank you for listening.....that is all ( for now anyway) :duc

Sooo DD 13 had her 4h meeting at the nursing home (where mom is) because they have a small garden they ( the 4h group) planted so they go take care of it. anyway she of course wanted to go see grandma (she doesnt know about allll the issues with mom) Any who Mom has no idea who I am and is convinced I am full of "sh**" her words exactly

so I laugh and said " well you are probably right about that"

So no big dramatic arguments or major verbal lashing from her today so all in all a good evening, well as good as can be with mom and her Alzheimers :hu

One of the hardest people I have ever had to take care of was a psychiatrist with altheimers. He was something else! He had been well known and still remembered his psychology. When we would go in to take care of him, he thought we were HIS patients and analyzed everything we said. For example we could tell him it was time to go to eat lunch, and he would give us a look then ask how we felt about going to lunch. It's not funny, but sometimes you do have to laugh or cry just like you said.

Glad you got water again. If you want to get remotivated about canning and gardening, just walk through the grocery store and check prices in the produce isle :p
