whats the pee report this morning --- did you make it outside?

my big dogs started howling AGAIN so i ran and we got out just in time whew!

windchill this morning is 10* and that felt about right out there in my jammies.

we got nasty wind here right now also but not as bad as you!



yea he made it outside....and the little %$%# peed and ran back to the door, but I said, oh no, you fooled me once on that----back in the house to poop.....no way------so I froze and made that little bugger stay outside and then he finally pooped.

ah ha, I am getting a little smarter than him now (I think, not sure yet)



I stayed up with him for an hour and back in the crate. Gotta take him outside in a few and let him go again then he can run around the house.

and just think - soon this will be over and you'll have a well housebroken pup!

my very scientific method of figuring out that the pup had to pee is... if *** I ** have to pee - then she does too. it totally works!

yea those gremlins got evil when wet.....no wait, it wasn't wet, it was when you fed them after midnight or something????

Nicole....I am trying to get her to do the responsible thing ya know, but by the time I put a coat on her and shoes etc...the dog would be dead before it got outside.

so she is doing the feeding, getting new water and all that mess....most I handle the fast pee runs lol I feel safer that way

Well I do think I have a better deal of it.

First of all a half Husky puppy does pretty darned good outside ... even when the temp is all of 16! I explained to my Cassie dog that the sworn duty of a Beta dog is to raise the pups of the Alpha pair and she is taking her duty to heart. (BIG part of the reason I wanted a pup now - so she could help raise him. ) When we make the big run for the door, Cassie is right behind herding him along in the right direction. Then SHE goes outside on poo duty.

We have a fenced in yard and a doggy door into the back porch, so we are done with things until either she (or now sometimes Sage) gives the "back inside now" bark. Even in the middle of the night they are often out for 30 minutes or so before we have to let them back in. So far it has been working like pup wakes up needing to pee and either hubby or I wake up, make the race to the door, ding bell, pitch dogs out, go to the bathroom ourselves and back to bed. Later when the "back in" bark sounds the other human gets up goes to the bathroom ourselves, bring puppy in, give praises to both big and little dogs, kennel the pup and back to bed.

It is working GREAT! The only one with rings under her eyes is Cassie and I figure she gets to stay at home and nap most of the time anyway, SHE can just suck it up!!
