You sure are busy. So glad someones retirment plans are coming back. We are almost back to where we were this time last year. Still a couple of thousand short but sure better than before.

I still don't have goats and DH is bucking me big time on this. He has only been around what I call scrub goats so he has a really bad misconception of goats and nothing I say seems to change his mind. So unless he changes his mind goats will not be happening. I can of course get them and try to do it all myself but, with working all day and garden time upon us plus normal household chores along with chickens and rabbits and my mother to take care of - I just don't see the time unless he is on board and willing to help.

Like you there is not enough hours in the day to do all that has to be done.

Great power bill you have there. Wish I could get mine down that low. I have cut mine down by about 55 a month just by not using the dryer. But with all this rain next month will probably be right back up there.
Morning!

Hey being only a couple thousand short is a great thing I am sure!! So many took full dives down to nothing....so we did well I know!! Tony lost nothing in his 401K....he moved it all to money market safe cash fund very early and let it sit there.....then when that stock dumped to $4....be bought a bunch and it is now at abouit $11 per share. He sure is making great money!

HA HA HA on the dryer. I know what you mean. I had to use it a few times due to rain. Yea, it sure does hike the bill back up there!! Cutting it by $55 is a good savings big time!

Scrub goats are the same as specific breed goats actually...LOL-LOL......a goat is a goat in any clothing....LOL

My Boer goats act just like a cross goat and all that....a goat is a goat no matter what it looks like..HA HA....they are all a pain in the butt BUT are fun to own definitely.

You will just have to tell your hubby that one "appeared" outside your door and you are adopting it..HA HA

But yea, they are work! Make sure you really want to take on that work cause you know that animals are a pain! LOL----anything alive just holds yoiu down to the property and yoiu can't just get up and go so easy.

We are going to the mountains over Mothers Day weekend. Tony wants to trout fish in Cherokee and the KOA campground has a "reserve 3 nights, get one free"! I like that so I book us for Fri to Mon. Will be a nice time----but also I have to get his parents to babysit all the animals as usual. Thank goodness for his parents being able to cover the farm work! Or we would never leave...LOL

You sure sound busy also. When spring hits it is just a whirlwind of activity!

Anything new happening? All good here...just busy but I can cope with that..LOL

Monday---start of a new week and here we go full speed ahead.

Went fishing yesterday and caught nothing....not a bite! It was drizzle rain and not nice on the lake but it was relaxing. I sure love boating and fishing. Nicole had a good time dumping sand in the water's edge for her beach. Dad got a ton of sand and we bumped up the sandy edge and it should make a nice play spot for Nicole when the weather is nicer. Hanging and swimming at the dock sure is nice! :)

The living room tv is dying...UGH....means I need to buy a new one. The screen has been blanking out for about 2 months now and if I wham it, it comes back on...LOL---but lately it takes longer and longer between whams to bring back the picture....so here we go, time to get a new one. Will go today and see what is out there and not too expensive. Nicole and I will hit the store and spend some money! BOO---but what can I do, I sure ain't living without a tv! :)

So the usual animal work etc. at the farm today......kinda drizzley, rainy, misty, icky, cloudy YUCK outside so just cutting back on outside stuff.

Started getting pool opened. It sure is green but shocking it etc. and started the filter the other day. Should be about a week to bring it up to nice water...gotta vacuum it soon but weather isn't nice so holding off to a good day to tackle it.

What else...hmm...nothing much other than doing my usual SS ways....HA HA....and trying not to get into much trouble! Which is hard to do because we are working so much and staying busy!!

Everyone have a great Monday!!

Off to get things moving!

Smile alot today everyone! It makes one feel great! :)

FC Never just go "fishing" - that puts a jinks on the whole trip. Go "Catching".

And I agree that a goat is a goat but......Saying there is a difference is my only argument right now. And he does not know the difference. So my story right now is.....there is a difference. LOL

HA HA HA Wanda....I hear you!! But there was nothing that wanted to eat my bait! ??? hey, millions of fish in that lake and not one wanted to be my dinner..HA HA

OH OH OH---I get you know....you need to "doctor" up the goat situation to get your hands on one! LOL

Smart lady!

OK--tell hubby this---a goat is just a wonderful weed whacker! Tell him a leash on this goat is cheaper than a weed whacker and you can direct the goat anywhere to eat the weeds...and you get the "back end" stuff to fertilize instead of buying gas...HA HA...maybe that will work!!!! LOL0---hang in there...I know you will get 2 nice goats to play with and enjoy.

As much as I hate them, I love them..HA HA

You got this weird weather too? Kinda cold, dark clouds, getting very windy and all....hmm...where is that good southern weather? Hmm....

making tons of soap for business.......

Contractor David is going to bust thru the wall today and make my entrance to my new tv room. Can't wait.....maybe next week will be able to get my new furniture from the store and be done? Hope so....he will start painting the LR today also....can't wait! Nearing the end! WOOT

Cleaned out my 4 refrigs and one chest freezer I store our whole hog sausage.....meat handler inspector is coming to inspect. Nice lady......so have that under control and will pass as usual and new season moving forward! good deal! Alot of work cleaning all that mess..HA HA

Very lucky on my new 200 chickens...pullet eggs are BIG! Not weeney so they will go into full production and sale soon.....those smaller eggs sure take alot to make a good omelet...HA HA

Driveway grading still in progress. Doubling the size. Rain has stopped alot of that work...the mud, oh the mud..HELP!@!@! Can't wait til that is done and over...soon hopefully. Need tons and tons of rock.

Will also replace all mulch in front of house with colored rock. Hate mulch.....want rock now..LOL--more work but worth it to me.

All good here! Nice season happening and all smiles. So far so good, and fingers crossed all continues great!

Hi honey, our weather was like that Sunday. It was weird, I don't know what held the rain in the sky. We haven't had much luck fishing lately either so don't feel bad. :)

Glad to hear the addition is moving along, I know you'll be glad when it is all done....being in limbo is horrible!

Your right Lori...can't be done soon enough now! :)

Wild here....house is a wreck. Dining room is in the living room cause new hardwood floor going down today.....being trimmed out, painting LR room........all the LR stuff is in the new addition.

Stuff all in dissarray. OK though, I know in the end it will work out fine and be DONE! So ready for DONE! NOW.....LOL

have 2 windows to replace, 1 back door to replace, new front screen door to install....and that is it. Finish touches on new addition etc. etc.

Just insane here..HA HA HA

Nice out, 82 and wonderful! Love this weather.

Pool finally looking nicer....less green, water is soft and will vacuum soon and get it up and running.

All critters fine so that is good so far!!!

All fields are planted and doing well...corn going in soon and all that. Just the usual farm stuff!

Pollen count so HIGH! I am an allergy mess big time! UGH but will live I am sure..HA HA

All well.........not much more other than waiting for normal to return.

off to feed goats and bring in laundry and all the usual chores.

hope everyone is well! :)

2 seconds to check in then off to do tons of work as usual.

nice day with thunderstorms coming in late...ugh. Gotta get clothes on line NOW!!!

Final inspection today on new addition. Waiting for inspector right now....David is finishing up gutters etc. and will hit the room with a second coat of paint today. Picked a light pink...UGH for me but it is Nicoles room so I let her have that color....and paint is cheap..HA HA...can repaint in 5 years or so!!

House is upside down. He will try to install my new carpet this afternoon. Hope we get it done and finish baseboards etc. etc.

Just crazy! I don't love it..HA HA HA

Washing eggs, wrapping soaps etc and have to hit the fields and pull onions etc. for the market tomorrow.

Have to chat with 2 more stores interested in selling my soaps. I love it...stores are great sales!!

I am getting alot of stores and that is a good thing! :)

Word of advice on sales to stores......never do consignment. Only do consignment of your product if you can trash it after...LOL....I did one store on consignment and the soaps were trashed and dropped and beat up and got dirty etc...then they want you to take the old and replace with new for sales. Uh, hell no OK? LOL

So I did one consignment one time and will never do it again. This one small store opening wants consignment...no way. So will see what she does in the end. I want cash for my products point blank....then what they do to my stuff after is their problem..HA HA

just something I learned the hard way.

nothing much more....same old work and all.

everyone smile....life is fun! :)

Absolutely insane here.

so busy it is nuts.

computer problems, but bought a new puter from my brother. he runs a "re-work" company for puters and got a Dell Pentium 4 (blah, blah) equipped for only $175. Can't go wrong...should have it next week and retire this ancient problem child to Nicole for games.

new addition done......wonderful!!!!! I love my giant mudroom, pantry and playroom for Nicole.

new carpet in LR great.

new leather LR suite is wonderful.

new windows and door and screen doors on back on house are perfect

grading on driveway coming along

pool almost clean...UGH---so green but working on it and finally getting into perfect mode

all walls painted and perfect colors (except Nicole's moderate pink in the playroom) --still adjusting to that color..HA HA

Nicole's new swing set is up and fine! Done there and she loves it!

Checking into buying a new truck for Tony....UGH--prices suck. Will buy used 1 year old model....UGH--prices still stink !! HA HA...just looking and seeing what is out there. Will retire the Chevy HD Silverado as farm truck.

Camper back and perfect. Trip over mothers day to Cherokee...fish and swim...can't wait.

Hmmm...what else....I wormed Bridgett and her baby Rosie again. They have that bloat look and are acting icky in a way ---so I told Tony to re-worm them. I hope Bridgett does OK...I like that goat, dont' want her to croak yet!!!

Hay going down soon....putting down 25 acres in about 2 weeks and then if weather is good, putting down 60 more acres next. Doing all big round bales on spring cutting. Grass is nice..should be alot. Will do square bales in fall cutting.

Both push mowers in the shop....darn things won't crank...kill me OK>...HA HA

Out to dinner tonight. MIL's b-day.

Soap sales are thru the roof. Can't keep up at all hardly. Good but bad since it is only me doing the work and demand is monster!! Early in the season too........this is a "be careful what you wish for" deal. I want business, now I am swamped..HA HA

all good here but insane!!!!!

take care and check in later

FC - Sounds like you have it going on. Lots accomplished.

I know you are glad that work on the house is finished. Whew. That alone is enough to drive someone insane.

You need to post some pics when you get a chance. Ummmmm lets see, chance for you might be around December. LOL
