Your little girls are adorable. I know you will really enjoy them. You can always put diapers on them (cut out hole for tail) if you want to let them run around the house.

The way the story goes, is that someone left a gate open and the wrong buck got out and had his fun with quite a few of the ladies before he got caught and put back in his pen. Then the correct buck was introduced to the ladies. So this particular LaMancha mama... em, .... lets just say she had a bit too much fun that night (or rather afternoon) and slept around with more than one of the boys ;) ...
Each egg was fertilized by a different male, there you have it,
same mama, different daddies.
Ok. I get it now! So goats are like cats. :p

Great idea! They already peed and pooped on the couch
Luckily I have it covered with blankets because of the dog and cats
And the goat that peed on the couch, happened to pee on and old pillow that is easy to wash.

Everyone was hanging around the goat pen, our dog Spike right in the middle of all the activity. She had to keep checking the goats out, sniffing and licking and all the while hitting us in our faces with her tail.
I changed out the sheets lining the bottom of the pen, while I had my two willing helpers hold the kids. After DD and hubby reluctantly left, DSS got to hold the kids and we let them romp a little in the living room. That's when they ended up pooping and peeing on the couch. By this time our dog was bored with them and brought out a dog toy to play with. When nobody payed any attention to her, she brought the toy over to the kids and droped it in front of their pen. When she didn't get a reaction from them, she got another toy and tried to shove it in the pen and then dropped it right in front of the gate.
I can hardly wait 'til SO cames back from hunting turkeys. We will let the kids outside for a while. The sun is back out and it is fairly nice out. I will bring my camera to document this momentous occasion.
Now back to doing the regular household and farm chores.

I want some baby goats!!! I think they might not let me have them in my subdivision, but, wait, if I kept them in the house......no, I guess that wouldn't work, but they are SO cute, they are sweetness personified! I have always loved baby goats.

After my husband died, I would sometimes drive to Oak Mountain State Park - they have a demonstration farm there. I would just sit somewhere and the goats and the geese and one particular rooster who really seemed to like me would come sit with me and chew on my hair, etc. I found it very comforting and healing.

In the farm of my dreams, I have goats and geese and ducks and chickens and horses and swans that swim in the lake that has weeping willow trees beside it......

Dreamweaver, I know what you mean. As it is, I have my 5 illegal chickens and 1 illegal rabbit (because it's housed outside). Luckily, my neighbors don't mind and have partaken in some of the "profits" of my experiments.
