That is one nice thing about where I work. Almost everyone has chickens or some kind of livestock. And the ones who don't buy eggs from the ones that do. So everyone is pretty level headed when it comes to things like this.

I think DD and I are going to the U-pick place sometime this week for strawberries and blueberries :drool I passed the place today and thought it may be something we could do together AND get some food in here at the same time :D They look GREAT!

Had some for dinner, gave a quart to the elderly folks across the street, made some freezer jam, and are freezing the rest. Probably a pie this weekend. There were 16 pints of strawberry jam hiding in the pantry, so it's gonna be combination berry jams later in the summer as the other berries come into season (and as soon as we can get some mango).

It's in one of the cookbooks the wife was leafing through - she didn't mark it or tell me which book. She's in bed, so I'll have to get back to you on that one. :)
