We haven't seen too many signs of spring yet, but at least the signs of "winter" are fading a bit. I'm reading in my garden plan I made for myself I'm supposed to be sowing peas, radishes and in a week transplanting my starts outdoors. Hmmmmm....

Gazing out my window at my snow covered plot of land, I don't THINK so.......perhaps this year is going to be a little colder than average or that snow out there has to melt awful fast.

I'm thinking perhaps I should transplant them into bigger pots temporarily if they start to outgrow their seed plugs since spring is not cooperating like usual! But this is my first year using this chart I found online regarding planting by the frost dates and making a timeline. I hope to have better success by planting things more at the right time instead of when I get a whim to garden. But so far it is a little off or the weather is, one or the other.

Don't worry SD, those charts are guidelines. You'll do great. Just adjust everything back however many weeks from when you do your peas.

Dace, you're so funny. Isn't it spring yet? In my mind, everything after Jan. 31st is spring. :fl

Yea, the chart says to plant "as soon as the ground can be worked"......I want to giggle when I look out at the snow....

We are at a higher altitude than most everyone in our zip code so it is hard to know our true zone. We are on top of a mountain overlooking a little town, far below and our zip code encompasses the whole area.

Gallery job -life is great, boss just surprised me with a paid week off in May as a reward for hard work... and to butter me up because she won't be there as much during the summer while her 2 teenage boys are out of school.

Hospitality job -very, very bad. Got a follow up call from HR re: last tues meeting. She needs us all to meet with HR immediately. As in, can you do it tomorrow or can you take time off your other job to meet tomorrow. Apparently the boss lost it on Monday and ended up throwing a computer at the wall in the office while another employee was standing there. Things are really, really bad. Melting down.

Apparently last night he was placed on admin leave. Today's meeting is with the Director of HR for the entire university so at least they're taking this seriously. What a mess. If it wasn't for the schedule and how it dovetails with my other job, I would've been long gone.

That's nice she gave you a week off as a reward! Paid at that!! Congrats!

Threw a computer at the wall?! Sounds like some people I've worked with. :/

I worked for a dentist who threw instruments at me if I gave him the wrong one (briefly) But I think I'd be glad someone who throws computers around isn't going to be my co-worker.

Please pray. My parents left for the Philipines on Wed. on a mission trip with a group from their church to help build a permanent building for an orphanage their. Please pray for the safety of that country and their group and that impact from the potential tsunami will be minimal.
