Can't see the image, but how frustrating! Kinda like telling a mechanic your car is making a noise... So glad you found the problem!

That would have been some kind of $#%%^$% to make it through the hurricane and floods then have your dryer kick your A$$.

The other pic isn't showing for me now either. Here is the culprit! ARGH!

@baymule - That sure would've sucked in such a big way. My DH is always complaining because I'm so OCD about appliances. He wants to put clothes in the dryer before bed and let them run after we've gone to sleep. I won't do it - and this is why!!

I have to admit, I am one who will let it run while I'm sleeping, or gone, or outside working...

So glad you found the problem without any major damage! Scary!
Me too. Sometimes I have "3 stage" laundry. Stage 1-wash them. Stage 2-dryer (next day.....) Stage 3-take them out of the dryer and fold them.....on a really bad day, I can stretch it to Stage 4 on putting them away. Most of the time I'm really good at taking clothes out of the washer and dryer immediately. But there's "those days"........

I'll let mine run if I'm here at the farm...like mowing, feeding, etc. Figure if fire I'll hear the alarms & get it fast -- at least open the door to get Molly out! Watch & then call.

With the insurance they make me carry I always say, let it burn a while before you call! Yep, I could cover new home & cost of land with the $$$ per footage they make me carry...plus some! That's one way they make their money.

With your new house guests that crockpot will come in real handy! They can eat when "time" and it will stay warm until you & DH are ready, if needed.

I know that some days I do as you -- walk in front door, change clothes & walk out the back door. Especially in winter with short daylight. That's when I love a crockpot meal or a bowl of something made in bulk from the freezer -- heat & eat!

Today I was off and loved it! Off all next week. Yahoo. Hope Irma doesn't visit -- not wanting company! Farm work week -- winter prep.
