Things were goin' real smooth 'round here.

Till 7 pm when UCONN came on. I did get a little word in when he said my uncle was coming over Sunday afternoon to discuss barn plans. I asked what time and he said the evening. I proceeded to tell him good because I had plans to go to Vernon (where the nubians are). He asked why and I said "because....."

Let's just all hope UCONN wins tonight. :fl

OK....well.....gotta run to love up on my twins, Cara and Nilly. Tomorrow's the day.

I don't know whether to cry or be happy. Well, honestly it's easy to trade off Nilly, she's not as sweet as Cara. But the fact that they're both leaving before they kid is what gets me. There's two sides to everything and right now one side is jumping for joy because a)I don't have to deal with the kidding stress b) financially this works out for me and c) well....can't really think of a c but the other side is sad to say the least.

Katie and Jenny are the names of the gals taking their place. I'm tempted to try for breeding as soon as they get used to me. I could sure use the milk!

Pictures will be posted tomorrow!

I'll write more after I get myself composed (and have a drink).

I woke up this morning, ready to get the day on and walked by the goat yard. There was Cara, sitting on a red bucket.

Hmmm.....But there's no red bucket in their pen.

Then I see this little white goat by Cara's face nudging it to nurse.

O...M....G

I realized what had happened and called the vet - we put her back together and now they're snoozing together. I had to put crappy powder colostrum in him (DANG FUDGIE AND OPI) and will try to get him to nurse off her later.

The gal is coming over shortly to drop off the 2 Saanan's in exchange for Nilly and $100.

Cara, as you all know, is now going to be strictly a pet.
