Holy cow! Just had an entire conversation with DH about my idea of turning some coop space into goat space and he didn't flinch. Told him about the vet's goats and he only said to slow down. But that's not a NO! Wheeeeeee

Reserve the does, quick!!! Oberhasli's are stunningly beautiful, and you will have a guaranteed vet, since he raised them, and he MUST know something about goats by now! One would hope!

Well, we priced chain link fencing at TSC and he still didn't collapse but...
Urgh. I just said to DH that I was going to call and ask for DrZ to call me back with more info and he got all freaky again. Turns out he was afraid he'd deliver the goats to us tomorrow. I forget he doesn't read all these posts and know that things don't happen over night. When I explained that I just want to know how old they are, what he wants for them, etc. DH relaxed a bit. Sheesh....
Of course they closed at 5 so I missed them. But I will call first thing in the morning before heading to the sheep and wool festival.
He's shingling the coop which is soon to be re-christened the barn! I may get paint on it soon! I need more !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd check around to see if anyone has any damaged rolls they would be willing to sell you. If just the top edge is bent, a lot of folks won't buy it, but it will still work fine.

Thanks for the encouragement. We keep an eye on Freecycle and Craigslist for stuff like this but DH will probably start calling around to see what's out there. You never know!

What was I thinking??? My doeling is half La Mancha. I'd wanted the Oberhasli buckling, but they didn't want to sell him to someone who was not going to keep him for serious breeding. My brain was really befuddled today!

Just shoveled out the coop/barn and was thinking floor plan the whole time I was in there. It could seriously work. We'll need to move a few things around. DH is more accepting of the idea because there won't be room for three goats!
Counting the hours 'til I can call the vet in the morning.....
