Now, I could be enjoying a cup of eggnog and watching the snow fall, but instead I am listening to some yahoo scream up and down our street in his car. (Yes, I'm assuming it's a male, sorry!) Three times now. DH has gone out to move his car in further from the street so the idiot doesn't slam into when he slides in the snow. GRrrrr, don't need this. DS had a bad day at school and I just found out so I'm having to process that while listening to this jerk ruining my nice quiet dead-end street. By the time anyone calls the police he will be gone.

He went away. I think DH scared him off when he went outside to move the car.
It is still snowing but we have less than a half inch. Still looks nice.

Nope, but it's so cold that the half an inch is still there. Feels a little Christmas-y at least. We should have more next week. With any luck, a snow day for all 3 of us.

The tree is up and has lights and garland on it. That's as far as we got. Long story short, DS had a difficult day at school yesterday (probably too much activity over the weekend and not enough sleep) He got in trouble on the bus and got sent to the principle. That would be Sister Mark. He did not like that one little bit. And yet he got in trouble again in the lunch line. Impulsivity rears its ugly head. He typically has trouble with it this time of year and again in the spring. Today went much better.
We were up late with various issues with the dogs. One wants out, one wants a drink, one is chasing the cat..... They couldn't settle. We are just happy that so far the Golden is ignoring the tree completely. Once the ornaments go up the nightmare will begin. The tree will have to be fenced in. We got a Blue Spruce specifically for the sharp pointy needles. He stuck his nose in it once and that was enough for him.
7 more days of school!! We will travel Christmas Eve day, but be home that night and the rest of the week is OURS!! I do hope to go to Bennington VT one day during the break. Other than that I want to be a complete home body! We kind of have to since we are cat sitting for friends. They pay DS $15 a day to feed their two cats, and scoop the litterbox. They'll be gone for 14 days. Most of that will go in his bank account. I'll let him spend a little of it. These are the same friends who gave us their old Volvo when my minivan died 3 winters ago and I wasn't working. They wouldn't take a penny for it. They say if they hired a pet sitting company they'd pay at least that much per day so they're paying DS the same.

Wow, If DS is ever busy let me know I'll scoop the poop. ;) That is a great learning experience for him.. The responsibility should make him feel good.

Glad to hear things are going well. Everyday I ask our teachers how things are going. The general consensus is we are all ready for break.

It sounds like you guys are too.

stay warm

He had the job one week last summer and was being a pill about going with me. I did the work, I kept the money. THAT was a learning experience!!
It's not too bad here temperature-wise. Well, it's not in the 60s anymore; it's below freezing, but it isn't unbearable like some are going through. Donki doesn't like it. She doesn't seem to have grown a thicker coat like the kids have. Must be a breed thing? Not sure. I'm thinking of knitting her a sweater. I would if I didn't think Daisy and Thomas would nibble it right off her. :/

Would he perhaps like to come to Kentucky for the winter and chisel chicken and duck poop? I will pay top dollar...the big bucks. :D
