Thanks! Me too. I hate when he's sick. (like any mom likes it when their kid is sick.)
Well, I suppose I ought to take advantage of having the day at home and actually get something done.....

I hate to admit how much I love being home in my house, with my animals, rather than being at work. I do love my job, but if I didn't have to work outside the house, I wouldn't. : /
You and me both. I so want to quit, but can't. And, I got home a lot later than I wanted to today. There's not enough hours in the day since I'm working outside of the home, so I guess I'll be doing firewood by outside light again tonight. :( :/

Glad to hear your son is doing better.

Thanks, he's downed a bowl of chicken broth with chunks of chicken. Next we'll try adding some veggies.
He's got a pile of work we picked up at school. He's got a math test tomorrow but seems to know what he's doing there. He's got a pen pal letter to rewrite. Slooooooooooow. Hates to write.
His report card is great overall. Academic grades are all As with an A+ in Religion and an A- in Math. That's HUGE!!! after last year. Some of his effort grades are only "S" for satisfactory but that shows his challenges with staying focused and completing his work in a timely manner. His teacher's comments are that he continues to work at this and is making improvements. Can't ask for more than that! We are thrilled and so glad our choice to move him is paying off. Now, would it be wrong of me to mail a photo copy to last year's teacher?? ;)

I assumed public school. Sorry!
It's okay! He was in public school through second grade last year. We were able to make a change this year and are soooo happy we did.

Just got cool news from a coworker. She asked if I'd checked my pay stub yet. Nope, it's at school and I'm not. Anyway, a few weeks back we got a letter that now that we've got an education budget for our district we were getting a small pay increase. Not a lot but since we thought we were frozen for the year we were thrilled. My coworker noticed at the time that the letter was dated Sept. 1, not November and we wondered if the pay would be retroactive. It was!! I've got an extra couple hundred in my paycheck that I wasn't expecting!!! Timing couldn't be better!!!
