Looking like tomorrow will be another snow day. Hard to say for Wednesday just yet. So much for fancy Doppler Radar. Look out the window and you'll know what it's doing!!
On a happier note: I FINISHED MY SOCK!!!!! Okay, the toe is far from neat and there's a hole in the heel somehow but I can fix that. And I don't have enough yarn to make a second one, but it's definitely a sock and it actually fits my foot!!!

At least you were able to make a sock! I don't know that I could.

Well, I didn't think I could ever do it either but with quite a bit of hand holding I got it done! new goal, to make a PAIR of socks I can actually wear!
We are home. Got the call at 5 am so I was able to go back to bed after turning off DS's alarm clock. It's snowing lightly with no signs of stopping any time soon. Made a breakfast, bacon and sorghum waffles for the "boys" and flax meal pancake for me.
No way to tell what tomorrow will bring yet. Rain, sleet, snow? Snow day, late opening?? I'm sick of it!

Complete with Golden Retriever fur already...

Looks nice and warm! Since it is a stripey sock I would make the other one even if it didn't match perfectly.

It is a cuff down sock so I'm going to at least start another cuff and see how far I get. I can either wear them with ankle boots or sleep in them. They're not really heavy but they are wool.

My hubby has a collection of wool socks for this time of the year. They are pricey! How nice to be able to make your own.

Man the wind is really whipping from the north now. BRRRR.

That looks fantastic!

My MIL knits sock for Christmas gifts....they are very expensive too, well the yarn that is.

That is a great skill and your sock looks great :thumbsup

Thanks! I did a hopefully smart thing and bought sock yarn at the Webs warehouse sale after Christmas. I'm also hoping to knit a lot of them over the summer since it wouldn't mean a lap full of wool. We're in the lull between storms. It started out snowing, turned to sleet, back to big flakes of snow, then back to sleet and now it's not really doing anything.
I finally have an appetite. I am eating a bowl full of left over chicken curry with coconut, cashews and currants. Mmmmmmmmmm!
