Nope this was nothing short of tacky. I felt really snobbish but, seriously??? It went on to the Newly Wed Game and I was darn glad that DS was outside playing at that point. No one was actually watching and if I could have located the remote I would have turned it off when no one was looking. I left and went to TSC in my not too clean jeans and came to rake the front gardens and figure out where to stick veggie plants because I'm not going to have enough room out back! I'm headed back outside now. It's gorgeous out today!

Looks like some showers tonight and tomorrow and stormy on Wednesday but other than that it's looking like a great week!

We have fencing panels all purchased. DH is evaluating materials on hand for posts and then heading out to get what we still need. I may actually have garden fencing before the week is out. He has calling hours to go to tonight for a family friend so he probably won't get back to Home Depot before tomorrow. We'll get at least 2 raised beds in before next week and I can get some greens and things planted. :weee

Hen, I hate it when someone invites me over, and they have the TV on-unless they've invited me over to watch something. It's different if I were to stop in unannounced and they were in the middle of watching something. It wouldn't bother me then. But to have it on when you have company coming to me seems to be nothing short of rude. It's like you're saying, you're not that important to me.

How about this one: "Oh! I got the time wrong, so sorry! We'll come back when your show is over and the tv is off. What time will that be?" All said innocently and wide-eyed, of course.

Hee-hee! :D

Might have worked or caused them all to talk about what a witch I was. :/ Not that I really cared all that much. I hate taking DS to birthday parties because of stuff like this. Everyone makes a big fuss about his allergies and talks about how horrible it must be for me to have to cook for him and how horrible it must be for him to be so deprived. It doesn't really help the situation much, ya know? It is what it is and we deal with it. I'd say 90% of the time he doesn't feel deprived and I've reached a point where I'm thankful for a reason to cook healthy food from scratch for him. Sigh. I'm just not a social animal in groups like that.
The Golden is off to the vet in the morning for the Big Snip. We've put it off and I'm nervous. Haven't had an animal under anesthesia in a long time. I can't believe I was ever a vet tech sometimes. I've become such a weenie!
