I'm up! I'm up!
The couch was full of Dad and dogs so I stretched out on the bed. I thought I'd have trouble falling asleep because the guy next door had a small bonfire going and I could hear it crackling, plus they have company and their little girls squeal and shriek constantly when they're out playing. Plus I keep hearing gun shots. Which is strange since it's Sunday. But I did sleep and I don't feel too groggy.

Hope you feel better! Sometimes it's a toss up whether it is more exhausting to cook or to go out.

Great pictures :D Congratulate DS on Reserve Champion! (what a cute pony, too.) My son showed for one season, but he didn't want to ride a pony- he was 10! The pony was for his sister because she was only 7. I let him ride my horse in one class.

Thanks, we kept it simple and just went to Ruby Tuesdays because it's my dad's favorite. They have a new menu and lots of veggie options and the salad bar. Of course they were out of grilled asparagus and roasted spaghetti squash... Oh well. It was good and I don't have to clean up. DS is staying with my parents tonight because he doesn't have school tomorrow and it's easier than having to drive him over there in the morning. Makes this evening and tomorrow morning a little easier on me.
DS has no problem riding the ponies so far and he's 9. But he's a small 9. There was a girl riding a tiny pony in dressage. It was adorable. She looked a little silly though. There were barn swallows swooping around and the pony was scared of them. Shine was ridden in dressage by DS's instructor and he actually jumped over one of the birds. Then he wouldn't jump over the ground poles for the girl who rode him first in wak/trot. He was perfect for DS. I'm so proud of him! He had a rough baseball game yesterday so it was awesome to have such a positive experience today!

So I'm practically counting the minutes until this day is over!! I'm due in at 7:15 and out at 12:30. DS slept at my parents' house last night. I got up at 5 like I usually do on Mondays. Um..... can I go to work yet!??? It really takes me that much more time to get a relatively independent 9 year old boy ready for school! Well, I didn't have to make lunches for either of us, or breakfast for him. My breakfast was made yesterday and I just had to warm it up. DH went about his usual animal chores so I only had to feed the rabbits and goats. It's chilly, I suppose I could go weed the garden. I think I've got everything wrapped up at the elementary school. I have some loose ends at the HS. :bun :weee I'll be whining about how broke we are in a month but for the moment :celebrate I'm very happy I don't work summers.
Oh, and that would 315 minutes.....

How many minutes??? How many??
Make that ZERO!!!!! :weee
I am DONE D O N E DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a boring day of sorting and organizing and cleaning. We went out for lunch. I picked up DS and went to pick up some pictures at Walgreens. I haven't left the couch since!! I am still coughing and using that as my reason to blow off graduation tonight. I know my student will notice I'm not there but he has a huge family and will be fine. DH just got home and needs to get hay so I can't even leave since I'm here with DS anyway. It just wasn't meant to be.
I have no idea where to start tomorrow. I think I need to make a list. I'll begin it with "sleep in" which won't happen and take it from there. Seeing the doctor may be next. sigh

Try sleeping in anyway.

And, I know what it's like to have no one do anything for you when you're sick. Don't know about SD, but when I'm having vertigo attacks, no one does ANYTHING to make it easier for me. About all they'll do is cook something for themselves, and leave the dishes for me. :rant

Oh, and not trying to nitpick or anything, but next time your son has a lesson, ask the instructor about his seat. Could just be the pic, but he looks like he's behind the vertical. If anything were to spook the pony, it's easier for him to become unseated if he's not sitting properly.
