We transplanted some bamboo a couple of years ago. Most of it did not do well. But, it is in very poor soil. We got it from my uncle who is just over run with it. He uses it alot as stakes in his garden.

Take care of that tomato!!

Will do! It may be the one and only. I'm surprised it hasn't drowned. It is in a self watering container which I've had to drain water OUT of this summer.

To me hearing the cicadas actually means summer is winding down. That sound always meant that it was late summer, and the school buses would soon be making their rounds.

I guess I'm used to them showing up midsummer. But I know what you mean. I think I was trying to say that it hadn't felt like summer at all and now it sounds like midsummer. We usually hear them here before August 3. Not much before, but before. They're getting loud now. I can hear one over my neighbor's lawn mower!

Just checked the weather for the Lake Placid area for later this week. Brrrrrrrrr! High temperature is expected to be 70. Night time low around 48. I love it!! Just have to redo the packing list for cooler clothes. DH stopped complaining about cooking over the fire. I win!

I caught a cicada for my son Sunday. The first one he had ever seen.....was like trying to pry food out of a starving man's hands trying to get him to let it go!

We are thinking of camping in the yard Saturday night....so much fun! Have a good time!
