Henny, for your fungus, try taking some olive leaf extract and, if you aren't already, severely limit your sugar and starch intake and starting ingesting some of that vinegar. The olive leaf extract is in capsule form, is not expensive and works like a dream.

Fungus is fed by sugars and an increased blood sugar level is their favorite thing. If you have external fungal infections you may be developing some internally as well. These often can be pretty aggressive and can be misdiagnosed as cancers.

Bee- I had not heard of a possible internal infection, I've read of 10, 20, even 30 year long infections, but not of that. I guess it makes sense, though. And it's amazing that I hadn't heard of olive leaf to treat it! But a quick google search has tons of results... I'm going to see if the co-op has some asap! I once tried to do the tiny shot of good organic ACV with "the mother" but almost barfed, so that's a no-go.

Dilute your ACV with water next time.

Even if you get a place in a town you can still do a lot of work on it to sustain yourself. You should check out this website, they live in the city but grow almost all their food.

I also wanted to tell you..

I made soap today!!! Well, with my mom's guidance. It went very well, expect..

The recipe I was using called for Palm oil, so when I ordered my oils, I ordered the only pam oil I could find... Palm fruit oil. Which looked very nastily orange in the bucket. I thought maybe it would turn to a cream colour when I was done.. but nope. I got orange soap!

I later loooked palm oil up, it said it can be used for cosmetic use (which I assume could includec soap) but palm kernel oil is what I should have used..

Lesson learned.

A good way of getting your daily dose of vinegar is having salads smothered in olive oil and good ol' ACV. I dilute mine for salads also, as it is less acidic and corrosive to my innards! The fresh veggies and olive oil is just an added benefit. We've gotten so that we chop the salad small eat it with a spoon and sort of make a vinegar soup....its wonderful and tastey and you won't want your salad any other way once you've gotten it to your taste.

Here's a good hint for using your vinegar this way....don't premix it with the oil or all you get is an oily dressing that tastes a little like vinegar. Put all your seasonings on, put a tbs. of olive oil on, put your vinegar on~mix. Much better and tastier! We keep a container with diluted ACV and one of red wine vinegar in our spice cabinet at all times.

Do you have males for breeding or easy neighborly access to them?

Ummm . . . that was a kind of generic question. They didn't really say it was referring to livestock, so . . . . :gig

Otherwise, that is a cool questionaire. Even if you are doing ok on some things . . . there is always room for improvement and getting moved along on some of those aspects just takes time . . . . :he

Yeah I seen that one and I was wondering where in the world that popped up from. A human male would probably be pretty easy to come by :gig

Depends upon how picky you are about breeding stock. I'm not sure any of my neighbors would fit the bill.
