BBH, either you haven't seen any of my immediate neighbors or you haven't been reading this thread very closely. LOL

I was only kidding! :D

I get the chart now. I wish I knew how to print it. It would be pretty cool to have it all written down. I suppose I could hand write it...

I think you can highlight it, copy it and then paste it in a word document. Then print that out.

Bahaha, you guys nearly made me spit my coffee out!

Yay payday! Since I only get channels 1-22 now, my Comcast bill is about $66, which is a huge improvement. So that's internet and tv. I know, I know, I could do without tv. But since it's about $18 I can deal with that.

I'm going to try to make laundry soap using lard. I have been extremely unsuccessful in finding a recipe that doesn't eventually use borax and/or washing soda. But a pound of lard is something like $1.80, and just five ounces of fels naptha is $1.25. So it'll be fun and save me a few pennies. I'm considering making the liquid stuff to stretch it even longer. The lye I will need will be less than a dollar, so that's no big deal. But really, I just want to do it because I can, if that makes sense.

LOL I'm glad we could amuse you, HennyPenny.

Good luck with your next soap recipe. I wonder how it will compare with the olive oil one? Let us know!

I just make a lard based basic lye soap with very little "discount" for my laundry bar. I then use it with the borax and washing soda + baking soda to make my powdered detergent. It is VERY inexpensive to do this way (even buying the borax and soda) and lasts a LONG time.

One of my soap books has a recipe for a laundry BAR. I have never made it. If you are interested I will look it up for you.
