Lol record low high.
My fear did end up happening, I got back to my friend's place and Coyote had dumped the water tub and the heater was on the ground. Thankfully they didn't step on it or worse step on it and get their foot caught in it. I'll only leave it in there until tomorrow I think, it isn't going to be as cold so it won't freeze as quickly between visits. The poor fluorescent lights in the barn just couldn't handle the cold and wouldn't come on at all. I'm glad we accidentally left ours on because now they are actually lit.
It was 8 degrees at 5:30 when i left To Care for her horses, the low tonight is 6. Crazy!
Waiting on the bf to get home. They called him and want him to fill out more paperwork and get the stuff test info so that is great!
I'll have to go out one more time to get hay and water for the horses and then I'm fine for the day!

For this morning and found the pellet stove putting itself out from too much ash. Decided as cold as it was I should probably get that fixed before I left and just pray that the horses didn't play with the heater this time. Got that up and running again and headed to my friend's place and happily found that the horses had not messed with the heater. Got them set up with their hay and water again and then got gas before heading home.
The landlords daughter got here shortly after I got back and we got started feeding and cleaning the barn. It only took about 2 hours to get it all done which wasnt too bad. Storm behaved himself and was very happy to be back out in the pasture again. Everybody was moving a bit stiff after being locked up for 36 hours plus the ground was still frozen solid.
I'm back in the house now just finished lunch and trying to do some research on self care boarding options. I'm thinking of offering it but I don't really know what price will be fair to keep me covered but not price myself out of the market. Its hard to decide, really.

Check CL to see what's in your area. If you can't check on your phone, LMK and I'll see if I can check for you. I'd just need to know a general area.

I've been on CL a lot, Deb. It mostly works from my phone. The difficult part comes when I need to type some sort of cover letter or something. Then I'm a little stuck.

Had a shower at the ex's last night so at least I'm clean again. I hope that we get water back today, the landlords soon was here this morning wrapping the external pipe with insulation, so that will hopefully help. I brought the hair dryer back from my friend's ban and Will try to keep blowing hot air down the pipe to try to encourage it to thaw faster. I have a mountain of dishes that need to be soaked before they can even come close to the dishwasher.
I fed my friends horses, and came back and ate breakfast. Now I need to feed the two old grays then storm and then I can be inside for a while. I need to work on the house some today, and eventually I need to get a plan together to get the Christmas stuff taken down. I think I might enlist the help of my friend T because taking down the decorations alone is depressing and there is too much to Do when the bf is home to make him help me.
I guess I best get the ponies fed. At least its warm enough That I can wear my Carhart and don't have to wear the ski pants and down cost plus 3 other under layers! Yay! I think we're going to break 32 today!

Blah blah blah... applied for a bunch jobs CL. We'll see if any of then Pan out. Some of them seem ok and some of then don't seem so great but I applied anyway. Who knows. I wonder if I'll get any calls at all.
It was almost balmy outside doing the rest of the chores this morning. I was a bit too warm much of the time. Storm was I'm a very cooperative mood so I groomed him a little to get some of the crusty mud off and then we took a happy walk around the pasture for a while. He was nice and calm and friendly and seemed happy to have the company for a while. Too bad he doesn't behave that way all the time...
I wish this pipe would hurt up and thaw! This lack of water thing is getting old!

We have water again! Yay! Almost scared me half to death when it started sputtering out of the open faucets.
Yay water!
I have a giant batch of dishes soaking in the sink as I type. Dishwasher will be running tonight!

Today is another round of yucky weather. It started as sleet and then turned to rain, though I think most of that has stopped for the moment. It was interesting going o feed the other horses this morning for Sure. Got them fed them came back and fed everybody here and finally came in for breakfast for myself.
I have so much I should Do in the house, it's just a matter of actually doing it. I have a load of laundry started, we bought a New duvet last night because something was spilled in the other one and it was old anyway and rather sun faded on the side that faced the Windows. I think I might be able to get the spot out though, so they are both in the wash Now. Having two isn't bad, they would get washed more frequently if I had a clean one to put on while the other was being washed. I need to wash towels pretty bad and I'm Sure there are clothes that need to be washed too.
The dishwasher is clean now so i need to get that Unloaded and then hand wash the few things that are left. The floors are terribly dirty from the mud that is continually tracked in and desperately need a vacuum and mop. Plus the Christmas stuff is still up. My friend T might come over next week and help me take that down. The silly thing is that I need to clean before I will have room to take down the Christmas stuff and I know I'll have to clean again once it is all down! Crazy!
This weekend will be busy, we need to get more work some on the hay feeders and hopefully deliver some of them. I'm afraid the wet weather and warm temps are going to get in our way though. Id really love to be able to collect some if these payments though!
I got an email back from one if the applications I put in. Its a job I'd like to have but the starting pay is pretty low though there is a promise of more pay in the future. I'll just have to see what they say.
Bah. I don't really feel like doing anything...

Mmm now if only i had milk and cookies!
No call from the prospective employer today. I wish that when people are dealing with something as important as a job to someone else that they took a little more care in following through with what they say they are going to do. I'm sure he has a ligit reason but that doesn't make it any better on me sitting here twiddling my thumbs fighting depression from the Job search.
The thing that sucks about being depressed is that there are many things that I know I could do that would likely make me feel better, but being depressed I'm not motivated to Do any of them. Which makes me feel worse, honestly, But somehow I still don't Do them. It's just hard to care after a while. And trying to write the 50th cover letter while sounding fresh and creative is almost impossible.
Blech. I think winter is wearing down on me to boot.
I'm gonna hibernate and not being gloomy clouds to anyone else.
