Thanks ladies. Anybody that hasn't had to hunt for a Job just doesn't understand just How disheartening it can be. I spent a painful 45 minutes struggling to fill out an application on my phone because we can't even afford internet and having to fork over my life story. It does not make one feel good. The other part that bothers me is that I feel like filling out resumes is a waste of time. I know so many people that have gotten jobs based on connections not on applications and pieces of paper. Half of the companies won't even talk to you if you don't submit a 25 page electronic application plus text only version of your resume and an invention made of paperclip and bent up staples that will solve some molecular biology problem. Ok that is sarcasm but I'm jaded at this point.
Bah.
We did get a little work done on the hay feeder but wasted a fair amount of time first by needing more oil for the generator, so I sat around and wired while the bf and friends went to get that. I did feel productive while they were fine because I wrote up a list of sizes of all wood that needs to be cut, at least to the point we we at right now. I made conversions for the smaller feeder and wrote up that list as well. When they returned and we had power again we started on the roof and screwed up several times in the length of the sloping length of the roof.
We finally gave up and went to get dinner and buy replacement 2x4s. We'll get back to it tomorrow I guess.

Woo page 50.
This morning has been another morning of frustration. We were moving pretty well despite the nasty weather. While I feed the horse the bf went down to get the jet heater running again since it ran out of fuel last night. It does take dielsel in addition to kerosene so he put diesel from the tank in it. However it's not starting. If it hadn't run out it might run better on a mix but it was having no part of starting with only diesel in the tank. so then we ran all over creation looking for kerosene and nobody has it. Well nobody has it at a pump. The only thing we could find was stuff by the can and he didn't want to pay the premium for it that way. so we wasted the entire morning doing that.
He is now at his parents house helping his brother unload his dad's pickup truck so they can get another ton of pellets so we can keep running the stove which is good considering how crazy cold Its supposed to be tomorrow night.
While we were dumping the diesel we pulled back out of the heater into the equipment his mom called asking if we wanted to come over for dinner. This is after we dodged dinner last night because I was still sick and he worked crazy long hours last week. :barnie She just won't give us a break and that's only adding to my stress right now. I need time to be alone when I'm stressed out and I just can't handle her energy at the moment. I'm super particular about who I see when I'm stressed out and to have her continually pushing us to Do things is not helping my mental state at all. I need some time and space and she just doesn't get it. The bad part is that I am afraid I will lose my cool and say something that I could regret if she keeps pushing.
Maybe someday I'll have good news again.

Sorry hqueen :hugs :hugs Applications are a pain in the tuckus. They want information that doesn't even matter or pertain to the job, it's ridiculous. The MIL thing...I know how you feel. It's why I quit even getting on here right before Christmas. Nothing good to report, but you need the support, and at the same time you don't want anyone even trying to cheer you up or act like everything is going to be okay because it FEELS like it won't...it's confusing, and just adds to the stress LOL! I get like that, then I just get so consumed by it I turn off the fact that I care and just roll with the punches. What else can ya do?! I so hope you find something soon dear. I know this won't help, but you aren't alone....yeah that just makes me feel worse too...knowing someone else is experiencing the same garbage is NOT helpful bahahaaa! At least laugh about it :D Then eat some chocolate, and laugh some more just for spite ;)

Thanks for making me smile, WBF. I have more to update on the invite to dinner situation, but I'll do that later. He's in the shower now and then we have to Scoot down the road to feed my friends horses and get down to an interview for him at my ex's company. They are hiring and I really hope that this will work out for him because I know if he wants to he can excel at it. It would be consistent hours and really good benefits. The question is whether or not the pay could support him and us.
Then it's a run to the north side of town so I can grab some freecycle items. A grill basket and a stool. Yay free!
More later...

So the rest of the deal with his mom is this, he for to the house to help his brother unload the truck bed so we could use it to get pellets and his mom starts being him to stay for dinner, and says that she forgot to tell him that his grandparents were going to be there too. He was extremely upset that she didn't bother to tell him that before and tools her he couldn't stay anyway. She was really mad at him but he told her that we would take them out to dinner at a later time and that we were under a lot of stress and we just needed space right now. I hope she actually heard him and respects what he said. I've been debating trying to tell her something but I'm not Sure it Would matter. I'm really disappointed that she didn't bother to tell him that the dinner included his grandparents before or to give us a heads up that it was happening more than two hours ahead of time (it turns out that it was Dinner, not supper). I Hope she backs off for a while because I don't want to say something out of frustration that isn't nice.
We did also get the first hay feeder completed yesterday. Now we just need to get it delivered, which I'm not Sure how easy that is going to be with the weather like it is right now. We have the deep freeze tonight then later this Week everything Will thaw again and more rain is on the way on Saturday.
I'll have to catch up with today some time tomorrow. Now it's time to go crawl in need and How to stay warm all night and not blow away!

Don't ya just love it when people spring that kind of stuff on you and then get upset when you can't fall in w/their plan? My late SIL used to do that sort of thing. She'd come up w/all these great ideas at the last minute, and then get upset when people told her they couldn't come.

Yes, Deb it is frustrating me. It's rude not to mention irritating.
Yesterday turned out pretty good. We managed to get ourselves moving and headed down for him to interview. He spent a while taking to the warehouse manager and after we left my ex sent me a message that he chatted with the guy and they are probably going to hire him at a better pay than we originally thought. He already got a call from the guy today asking him to come down and fill out more paperwork and do the drug test. That has to be a good sign. There is plenty of room to move up in this company and that is what I like. My ex almost doubled his salary in 4 years. That's almost unheard of anywhere else.
Finished that and got lunch and headed home. I put the sheets in the wash and he ran out to get oil and then we changed the oil in both vehicles when he got back. Thank goodness for that shop because we couldn't have done it without that! I kept going back to stand in front of the wood stove until he needed something.
We left and ram to get a Tank heater the old farm to plug in at my friend's place and then went and took care if her horses and got them set up for the night. Finally got back to our farm and started to get the barn ready for the night and just got everyone in when the landlords daughter arrived after she got off work. We closed up all the spaces we could so they were nice and cozy and Headed inside to fix leftovers for dinner. We were so tired and Headed for need when I realized I hadn't finished washing the sheets so the duvet wasnt dry. Ugh! Made the bed and just put the down blanket on it and fell asleep.
I didn't sleep Well between being too hot and hearing the wind roaring. Got up and found the thermometer said 4. Also found the pipe into the house frozen so no water in the house. Thank goodness for the barn bathroom so at least I do have water and a Working toilet.
Got the horses taken care of, we left then in still since the high is 15 with high winds. They won't be happen about that but oh well. I Headed to my friend's and the truck said 1. S at his farm said 1 with a wind chill of -25. Crazy. Got to my friend's and thankfully her horses were just fine. Had to thaw the water pump with a hair dryer but that was easy.
Back at the house the landlords son helped put more heat tape on our pipe so hopefully it will the soon. I'm relaxing before the landlords daughter comes back to clean stalls and change water for the afternoon. Then I guess I'll head back to my friend's again for the afternoon. Never a dull moment.

I'll be glad when it warms up. We set a record low today. Wonder what the record low high for the day is.
