good post me&thegals

when I eat my good menu and don't stray much I feel wonderful and have all the P&V like you said.

Go out to a restaurant, etc. or change up normal foods for any reason, I feel that "lag"

some days worse than other depending on where and what I eat of course

So stay home, eat good and have a good feeling wonderful life..HAHA

I eat everything in moderation...and my energy level is perfect and up and soaring and all that.

BUT give me too much fat and grease and overload of meats etc. my gut goes haywire. Not pretty..LOL

Again, everyone must find their own balance. We all can find it, just takes lot of work.

Biggie for me is portion control. No one anymore hardly knows what a true portion size is anymore. If we knew that and stuck to real life portions it would be noticeable out there in the big bad world :)

I had the exact forced sleep after eating any type of pork. It didn't matter how it was prepared; roasted, smoked, bacon, sausage, chops, fat, no fat. I worked for a doctor who suggested eating sauerkraut with it, but that had no effect.
I read this and wondered if nitrates could be the issue here, though I'm not sure how much is present in pork roast & chops, the rest typically contain nitrates.
I am sensitive to nitrates but my symptoms to them are entirely different. I think this was discussed on WZ's beer thread ;

No, it is nitrate-free pork as well. I was such a hit at dinner parties where pork was served

pork has that same effect as turkey
can't remember the word

just google and see how it effects people

also, sometimes that turkey chemical isn't the cause...it is the wine, beer, heavy foods, rich desserts, good times we have that make us tired..LOL

It always amazes me how everyone is the same yet different.
We all have fingerprints, yet they are all unique.
We all have taste buds, but all have different food tastes.

All the different sensitivities are interesting as well.
I used to be deathly allergic to Avon bubble bath. Weird.

We are all different to a point.....but we are not different species. We just all have differing abilities to deal with damaging substances. The cause is the same, but the reaction varies from person to person.

Well, I guess we are all different in that we define the term"damaging substance" differently.

I do not define carbohydrates as damaging. I see no evidence that they are, except to people who for some reason have an allergy to them or difficulty processing them like yourself.

The rest of the world has lived happy and healthy lives with diets that include carbohydrates.

No amount of links that you attach can change that fact.
