Well, When I went to church I didn't expect to see her, but for whatever reason she was at the door... As soon as I saw her I thought, here we go... But instead she approached me and said she was sorry, I decided to hug her and say me too.... She had no bags or tambourine with her. She said she wouldn't be bringing those back into church.

Later I spoke to the rumor mill person, and they only stated what they had been told. She was escorted off the property last week, but not arrested. In the middle of the week she went to talk to the Pastor and they worked it out. He had spoke to me this morning and only mentioned the emails he had gotten in support of my actions. He also asked me if I was ok with being around her, and I am... Un-armed with bags and tambourine thou..

I was happy to see her, because to be honest I felt I was a little over the top and didn't find another more peaceful solution first. She is a wonderful singer...

After speaking with her for 10 minutes after service, I kinda got the feeling she might have been off her meds last week. But people do react differently to strangers and such. I leave this where it is, and glad she didn't bring in a Tec-9 and kill me...

:celebrate :celebrate :celebrate :clap

That is AWESOME MoPi!!!!! Glad you two are friends now! Very sweet of you to hug her :love I bet she really felt like a heel and it was nice of her to apologize. God works in mysterious ways...maybe that made her realize she needed on her meds :hu You never know what another person is feeling or going through or WHY they are being "weird" by everyone else's standards. I am so glad to know everything has worked out within the church. The body should never struggle against itself, but unify for the glory of the LORD. Nice to see some unity ;) YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:hugs Good to hear everything has worked out for the best. You know I got to thinking maybe TCL is just lonely and looking for attention. Perhaps she just needs friends.

It's good to hear it ended well.

I'm glad all ended well.....but! I'd watch it if she starts wearing baggy clothes. Maybe when you hug her you should pat her down for that Tec-9.
Sorry - I just can't let sleeping dogs lie. :gig

Wannabefree - I understand about that squirrel - my grandparents raised one. It was ungrateful enough to want to burn down their house. Chewed on a match stick and caught the curtains on fire. No, it really wasn't ungrateful - they put it's cage outside and opened the door - it came back to sleep at night and even a few times after it was grown.

^^^^^  ^^^^^

Well checked all the fluids in the genny today, oh we lost power for most of the after noon saturday. Being next to the last on the grid here, and everyone else up above me on another, our restore can take days... The genny didn't kick on, so I went out to inspect it. I found some critter had gotten inside and chewed the plastic off a square bus fuse, which might have arched and blown it. I had not planned well because I had no replacement fuses for it, so I had to go into town to get some. I have to say it was a blessing as the new ice storm moves in...

I am loving these new windows, the temp only dropped a degree in two hours, the added attic insulation was a no brainer...

Yesterday seemed to be the day to get ready for the storm to come. While I was posting this morning, I also was watching the today show, it is reported that some peole wil have roof cave ins as per the amount of ice to come. In my area we are expecting 1-2 inches of ice, and 6 inches of snow by noon tomorrow.

Do you have a emergency supply box? I do, have had it many years. Stuff from medicine, first aid, long term food, solar shower, air tight TP, lights chemical/torches weather wind up radio, parachute flares, water filter, maps/compass of the area, silver coins, tarps and paint... This stuff is just a small amount listed, and the packs can be put on and hiked with for moving around.

Anyway, I am ready for the storm...

I use a fuel stabilizer to store my fuel for longer periods of time, I use sea foam... I store 50 gallons of generator fuel and 40 gallons of gas. I also have cases of Jesus candles that I bought on close out for 79 cents each, they have an 80 hour burn time. The heat from 10 of these can stable the room temperature. If used in moderation, I can have no power for 30 days and still be just fine. I also keep a full supply of propane for cooking.

Do you remember the solar re-charging system I came up with a couple years ago? I still use that and can re-charge cell phones, computers, any thing with a re-chargeable battery as well as run 12 volt lights.

I think my attitude is different in this way because I do think SS and ready for the what ifs is from being raised in the cold war days. I might be a little nutty, but I will be a comfy nutty...

J, So glad everything worked out with the church lady. Who knows...you might have met a long life friend! ;) Sometimes the "nutty ones" are looking for attention, because they are lonely. Im so glad it all worked out.

So far so good here on the homestead!! For the last two days, we have skirted just 15 miles south of any big trouble. Winds are picking up now and the rain is coming down. The 8 inches of ice at the edges of my roof have been reduced to about 4 inches.

With the wind picking up, I expect that we might loose power, gust are to be 50+mph through out the day/evening today. I am near the end of the power grid, Dales house is at the end of our grid. I learned last weekend just where our grid is and how many people are effected by it. Not from the top, but to the other side of the mountain, down through RR gully over across the flood area.

I drove around for understanding where my power grid flows from, I expect power will go out today. Though I will have power, no internet as the power grid won't support it. But as for power going out in the big picture, not nearly as much here in the country as it was in the city.

I know why Europe's power grids are under ground, it just makes sense. To re-do our grid here would cost a lot of bucks.....

Stay safe and warm..... :frow
