Wonderful!!!

I am a certified farrier and had to learn to use a torch and a forge. I love working with metal!

I love that kind of art! Nice set up!

Nice!! :love

The three wooden signs I have that I would love to make out of metal are

"Less is More" (of course)
"When in doubt, add more wine" (if it were freemotion, it would be "When in doubt, add more whey" :gig)
and one of my favorites because it is so childish...
"My horse is cuter than your horse!"

I love your sign too, I hope you didn't take my post the wrong way. I love your work.

I went to a horseshoe competition in Oklahoma City years back. There was all kinds there. Very artistic folks, most of them. They made more than just horse shoes out of barstock too. They made signs, tools etc. Metal people are very cool, very artistic. I was surprised!

MP, very impressive set up! Hope you did well....and congrats on the new contract :) A little job security is always awesome!

Not to beat a dead horse, but as the mom of 3 girls and a boy, I say that your protectiveness is very appropriate and I also think a camping trip for DD w/out your DS sounds odd. Did you ever ask Dale why DS was not invited? Not to justify anything just out of curiosity?
I also have noticed that friends of mine with sons do not understand the fears that we parents of girls have....it is just not their reality.

Thanks, it really got rid of a lot of pressure I was feeling....

Yes I did pretty good I think, I took just over a ton of material, and came home with just short of 1100lbs. I think I would have done more if things were better. Lots of looking and people with hands kept in their pockets. I also plan on setting up in two spaces next month, I will have all my new 2009/2010 product lines on display and for sale, this will give me some valuable market research feedback on the new lines.

Sorry haven't been here in a while. (No computer or phone service at my house yet).

Love your set up - everything looks great - I do have a question.

On the left side of the picture is a piece of rather rusted looking piece of metal. What is that? (I like old and rusty looking, so of all the things there that caught my eye.)

I love metal work and we see some of it up in the Mackay area. People seem to like metal silouetts of cowboys, elk, moose, deer that they tack up to their fences...don't know why. You see these thing in the real all the time here.

Your display looks really fine! and these products would sell well in the SunValley area if you get up that way, or Driggs, Jackson Hole.

We recently found a metal clanger at a garage sale. I think it is made out of steel and really heavy. It will have to be hung on a real solid post. I had been looking for a clanger for a long time and thought I was looking for one of those triangle strikers. But this is circular shape with the word welcome formed out of metal in the center and it comes with a striker. I'd put a photo in but DH took it up to the land last week. It makes a real loud clanging sound to call folks in for supper, for emergencies to tell folks to return home, what ever. We were stoked to find it!

I paid $35 for it but the lady said her mother in law bought it for them and paid about $150. So we were doubly stoked.

Just thought it might be an idea for you to make. Clangers (or whatever you call them) are hard to find!
