I am so tired of rain. Did you see our forecast? We are supposed to get another heavy rain on Wednesday. I am driving up to Wooster tonight with my kids for a beekeeping seminar at OSU tonight and tomorrow and then driving back home in this stuff. I sure hope I can make it home tomorrow night.
I hope you don't run into any flooding Sekin. The roadways won't take much at all to get washed out now. I too am sick of precipitation. Snow, ice, rain - enough already!
Weird things -
1. one of my chickens is standing out in the pouring rain and just runs from me when I try to put her back in. Heaven help me, one of these days I will have an animal that is NOT afraid to go through a door that I am holding open for them.
2. It is pouring rain and yet it smells like cotton candy out there. I'm not kidding and I have no explanation.
c. The ducks came back from their puddle jumping time.
And I found the silver lining in all the rain - when I was out chasing the chicken, my barn coat got all the muddy hoofprints from the goats washed off.
You won't believe this Becca - she DID start laying again. She had stopped for about 7 months. One day I found her in the box and she's back to being a normal hen. Weird, huh? But she's not the one that's out in the yard. It's one of the Brahma mixes.
View from the back porch - and our property is a on the high spot in our neighborhood. I'm sure all the neighbors are bailing out their basements today. It happens every year at this time. 12 more hours or so of rain to go :/
About 4-5 inches deep all around the garage.
It's about 2 inches deep right at that tree stump log.
