Nice goat shed and cute kittens. You will love them when they are killing mice! My barn is so cleaned out that they go over to the neighbors and get the mice and rats around their house. They are also busy with the voles and moles too.

Welsh Harlequins are so freaking nosy :gig

If mine hear me in the house they start looking through the run fence and start yaking. I can't even go pee in the middle of the night without one of the drakes noticing and having to make a comment!

:p

Hahahaha! That's so funny Wife. I kinda love their noise though, it just makes me laugh. I love how they come running at me to tell me about whatever is going on - and it usually involves an escaped chicken eating their food  Which is funny because they forage so much they hardly ever touch it.

I got a load of hay last night. I scoured the craigslist ads and picked the ad that appealed to me, called the guy and found that he really knew his stuff. He helped me decide what to get, asked me what animals we were feeding, if they were going to be pregnant or in milk, invited me out to look at it, but I just decided to go ahead and get a small load of 30 bales. So he and his wife brought it last night and I couldn't be happier. Lovely, leafy green bales of alfalfa, and a few mixed grass thrown in. They hung out and chatted with us for awhile, and he told me what he knows about goats - ALOT! And he said if we have any troubles, call him first, not the vet. How great is that? I think I have a hay guy!

So our sweet little gray kitten has already killed her first mouse :ya OK so DH actually caught it and gave it to her, but she knew exactly what to do with it :celebrate Good kitty, earning your room and board already.

I am celebrating the cool weather with chili, cornbread, and a fantastic looking peach crisp. :drool And for second dessert, s'mores at the campfire.
