we are calling around trying to find some alfalfa - hopefully one of the gals at the feed store will be cutting and baling today. whooot!

we had to come in a while ago - wow what a heat! summer is here for sure. dang i wish we had sweet corn - maybe some of the farm stands will have it this weekend

I really have to watch Perdy - she will snatch any piece of paper she can get.

So the verdict from the goat barn is that the hay is 'super-yummy' and 'more, please' It was a 70% alfalfa 30% timothy and orchard grass blend. This was our first load with timothy so I wasn't sure they would like it but they do. I told them to put me on the list for later cuttings so I don't have to worry about hay for awhile, Yay!
There's been all kinds of ads for alfala up my way OFG. Not so for you?

None of our locals have sweet corn signs out yet. I was thinking it sounded good too.

our regular hay guys are either cutting later or - they had to use those big round bales... which doenst work out for us. boo!
