I think I"m going to call them Rory and Lorelai after the Gilmore Girls.
They are a little homely IMO, but I can't ask for better starter goats - they have such wonderful personalities.
They are still filling out from kidding last spring and she just dried them off over the last couple weeks.
LaMancha's are a breed without large ears, just how they are, I guess! The breed actually started out with two 'earless goats' that someone had found and it took off from there, I don't think anyone knows where they originated from.
Cute pics. My age thing hit me when I turned 37 - don't ask, I don't know why 37. Now I'm 64 - gettin' the senior discounts and don't even mind it. Except I look just like my mother! Who is that woman who looks at me in the mirror every morning?
Thanks for the ear answer BB! I need to be prepared for that question because it's going to happen alot.
Lorelai is the brown one and Rory is the cream one.
We've got excellent hay and I offered them some BOSS and they declined. But they have been into the minerals already so that's good. They are already following me around. Guess the hour long brushing and massage made that happen Mine are going to be acting worse than OFG's Nibbles before long
are you kidding??? before long Fattie...i mean.. Nibbles is gonna be begging me to take her to Auntie Java's house because the service is so much better there!
