I had a starling in my back porch mud room yesterday! He came in through the dog door which was frozen and so stayed slightly cracked open!!

Good luck on keeping the starlings out, we got some in our coop last year and never could keep them out completely.

The kids want to show goats and we don't have a lot of land right now so we want Nigeran Dwarfs. I can't wait and love seeing everyone else's goats. Oh, and I am watching Phoenix Rising on Mare Stare, thanks for posting that! Now I really won't get much done at work today. I have it next to a spreadsheet I am working on and I keep getting distracted.

Nigis are so sweet. I will have some someday...We were going to try 4-H with ours but they need ear tags and tats, and well - my goats have no ears and I'm NOT tatooing them in the tail web so I guess we aren't doing 4-H with them. There were only 6 goats at our fair last year anyway :/
Looks like Phoenix Rising's Tina will go very soon! I need to get supper started soon but I really want to see the birth :p

Our fair is huge with goats and my kids already show chickens and rabbits in 4-H so whats a few more to take over to the fair. I live in a pretty rural area and our fair is a big deal. The only thing was that there were only about 10 nigi's there. But there were a lot of Nubians. The meat goats are a big deal here as well so you see a ton of those.

I have to have this spreadsheet done by tomorrow and I just keep watching that goat. She is huge!

We are sticking with rabbits and chickens too. Last year we did ducks and that was fun. It's interesting to see all the city folk come through and boy do they ask odd questions :p

I guess I'm going to have to take the laptop into the kitchen. Gotta get the taters peeled.

Not always the city folks. I was at a livestock auction. They had some Lamanches and I overheard the someone saying how cruel it was that they cut the ears off of them. :th I told them it was the breed, don't know if they believed me or not.
