JesseJames,

I have some really nice Ameraucana teenage chicks that I bought to sell. They are deemed "show quality" not that I need or care about that. I just wanted blue eggs. I will have 3 roosters and 2 hens up for grabs any time now. I bought 10 at a discount and planned to get rid of 8 after they grew up. Well they are BIG chicks and we are ready to send them packing.

Get that incubator done, I'm in the process of getting my trio of Welsummers separated, meaning in a few weeks, I should have some pure Welsummer eggs :D

He's in Canada though, doesn't that throw a loop in mailing eggs? Only reason I'm offering to look for him, is cuz he's close to my sil's place.

well i must say that the last 2 days have been an exercise in procrastination (at home at least)
i was so looking forward to getting home after the weekend to get some stuff done around here and it was i all i could yesterday just to do my paper\computer work (and piss around online of course)
and this morning well i got up at 6 to let the chooks out and decided i should just lay down with dogs for minute ....... oh poop its 8:30 and i have an employee meeting me at 9 damn damn damn
run around let dogs out for a moment of madness then since i am still pouring concrete had to lock them up for the morning due to jacks thirst for chicken blood (i see him eyeing up my new leghorns already)
it WAS nice an cool here today so a great day for pour and mixing cement 1500 lbs down maybe 200 to go woohoo!!
ever since i moved my outdoor therm into the chicken coop i never seem to check what it is exactly but oh well i do need to get a good indoor outdoor one for the house. i will want it come winter.
alright here is my list of ss things i really need to get going on. for the record
1 incubator design an build
2 mulch onion garden with manure
3 start fall garden bed
4 fix chainsaw
5 start wood cutting for winter (i have lots of dry dead fall but still need it stacked for a cpl months before i bring it in)
6 find someone to help me can (more for motivation than anything else)
7 finish chicken coop
8 start new chicken coop for meat birds coming in sept
9 look into green house design
i guess thats a start for augusts list
i encourge you all to ask me how certain projects are developing
another big one on that list should be get house ready for winter fall use but thats a whole other list unto its self so ill leave it at that!
i have also been thinkin that i really want to start blogging this experiance for my DD to be able to see what i am up to on a daily basis
do any of you folks know a good free provider if there is such a thing?
my phone finally dried out this afternnon to just when i was about to give up hope i plugged it in to my compu to see if i could still use camera function and all of a sudden it starte burring and rining and going crazy getting all the calls emails txt msgs etc i had missed over the last five days (it went on for ten minutes at least if you want some idea of how stupid my life can be sometimes) ahhh i am going to miss the silence
a new bug has found its way into my garden too. i cant get god pic off but they are fat little tick lick bugs twice the sive of a lady bug they are red with black sots on their sides and have six legs at the front of their bodies no wings and ugly they where chowing down on lambs quarters (i know helping me but for now or forever) i fed all i could find to the chicken except one i was goin trying to get a picture of it just wont work with my camera phone.
now i must go do a little outside just to mellow out
weed, weed, weed, and maybe a little chicken tv
have i mentioned i love my new leghorn couple (pics coming after dark)
alright alright im going im going
ciao

If you search around on here I think I remember a couple designs for making a greenhouse out of recycled windows.

I think BBH and Henny have some sun and HEAT for you!
