Yep, my little sister is the best! Very thoughtful. Of course after I punched her in the arm, I hugged her. :hugs
Well, today didn't go like I had planned. I had tried to go into town to find Citric Acid. After checking several places....no one here has it. I had to drive 30 minutes to TSC to get it. While I was there...I talked to a manager, and he told me to come back in next week to possibly get donations for the rescue. :celebrate
By the time I got home, almost 5:30, I am not in the mood for making cheese. Maybe I will get to it tomorrow. I WANT CHEESE! I had to get out there and tie everything back into a standing position, this morning we had a great little storm blow through, and left behind the winds! Its a might bit breezy out there....feels pretty good, other than the humidity.
I need to figure what to make with a pot roast, don't really want potato's and carrots. Im thinking a brown rice and gravy.
Well, im off...........need to get a few things done here.

So, I got the recipe from Merle....our little goat god! This morning I set out to make Mozzarella cheese. It took me a while to get it all in order....I had a few issues with getting it to coagulate...but, in the end....it worked out! Yummo. Altho it seems like a lot of work for a little bit of cheese. Only a pound from a gallon of milk. Either way....it good...and I will definitely make more! :p We already ate half of it...so, come on Suzie....gimme more milk!!

that, I didn't respond, because I didn't know how to respond. I sure was hoping that it would turn out. I gave the whey to my pigs...LOL They loved it.

Yesterday, I attempted to make ricotta from whey. Started with 2 gal. of whey set out overnight, then heated and strained. Got less than a half cup from all that whey and now I can't make bread til I get some more from the dairy. To me, the ricotta was not worth the propane and time it took to make.
