That's a beautiful morning pic!

and why, even with all your animal craziness, does your farm sound more peaceful than mine right now? LOL!

YES! Cool mornings...and not so hot days! Todays high is supposed to be....are you ready??? 80!!!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!:weee I can handle that.
QA, I didn't add in everything...canning, cheese making, laundry, cleaning the house....and applying for a job. LOL Oh, I have my days...or minutes...when all is right with the world..and everyone gets along. Like the other day, the ducks were making a commotion, so I went out..there in the nest box, was Kiki, the cat. Just stretched out enjoying the shade. ( or waiting on an egg) He has become an egg thief! :rant

I forgot to add, PT 2x's a week. They are doing heat/traction/electric pulse/Kinesio Taping
Kinesio Taping is a versatile modality for the treatment of muscle and joint dysfunction and swelling due to edema, hematoma, and lymphedema. From knee pain to tennis elbow, Kinesio Taping is an effective tool to complement a comprehensive program of physical therapy for the patient with orthopaedic or neurologic problems or compromise to the lymphatic system. The Kinesio Taping technique appropriate for a particular patient can be taught to a caregiver to increase independence.
To me it looks like a star shaped pattern on my lower back...pretty..hmmm, I dont see that it does anything tho. Im still in pain daily. :/

Daily pain sure sucks. I lived with serious back pain since I was 15. I found an herbal treatment, that finally helps ;)

I love our picture this morning. It is pauses like that, that make this lifestyle all worthwhile.

I just had amoment lke that. I stepped outside to hand up the plastic bags I washed out this morning and saw: Sepson washing out animals feeders, SO and DSS's girlfriend picking beans, th baby watching them in the stroller, and the dog laying lazily in the sun. WHile the birds chirped and momma hens made crooning noises and little chicks "whuitted" in response.

FD, it is exactly moments like that , that make me take a " pause for the cause"

So, Wednesday afternoon, I was just hanging out for a bit, when the neighbor texted me to say..." Our neighbor is bringing his ass over to your house" I had to stop and read that a second time, then I jumped up, and ran out the door.....He was bringing his 2 miniature donkeys over...to help get the grass down on the paddocks! :weee The mother and baby are settled in just fine....altho they can not be with any other animals..so I will have to rotate them very carefully. Momma is very protective of her baby. They are so cute...Momma is only 34 inches tall! I just love hearing them greet me in the morning...with a soft bray. I had asked him what his intentions were with them, he said he wants to sell them for $200 for the pair. He said he was tired of them. So, I am thinking...I can convince him to let me have them...maybe. I would love to get them trained as a pair to pull carts.
Wednesday evening was not so joyous. I went out for the 7pm milking, and as I counted piglets we were missing one. I looked outside to find that one of the little females had gotten out of their fence, and was trying to get back in, and got her head stuck in the fence and died. :hit I had to get her loose from the fence, and her little body was still warm and soft, so it hadn't happened too long before I went out there. Dang! I buried her next to the barn, with the Irises. RIP little one.
Wednesday evening I was battling the coons all night. :somad I heard the ducks making a commotion, luckily I have them all locked up....The coons are here for the leftover feed. I saw one masked bandit on the shop, and since I didn't want to make 500 holes in the roof, I got the little 22 handgun. Yeah, what a piece of crap gun! Got one or 2 shots in it before it decided it was tired of me, and ran off. It was back again last night...but because I was so tired, I didn't hear the commotion. Luckily all the animals are fine.
Yesterday evening I had to fix the fencing around the pigs pen. I put some 1x3 fencing all around the bottom, as I was doing so....Juliette decided she had to come out to investigate....and gave me her thoughts....a big old DUMP, right along the fence. Thanks Juliette!! :/
I made another batch of Mozzarella cheese yesterday morning. YUMMO! Took some to my son when I ran to town, he loved it. Then asked when I was going to make HIM a batch. I told him, when he "donates" a bag of feed. LOL
Today I need to work the gardens...and see if I can find the veggies in all the weeds. :/ I am going to wait until it warms up a bit....it was 51 degrees when I got out there this morning, felt good to wear a thin jacket.

Saturday morning....6:30, im up, but not too sure I am ready for this day. UGH! Im hurting all over. I spent most of the day in the weed patch where a few veggies grow. Now, it is a garden again. LOL I pulled weeds for an hour in the morning, and 2 hrs later in the evening. I can actually see vegetable plants!! LOL
So we are supposed to get storms today...we can use the rain...that is why I needed to get the garden finished yesterday...to make room for new weeds! LOL The paddock that the donkeys were in has a small shelter, they wouldn't fit in, so I had to move all the animals around yesterday. Luckily they co operated. Now the Donkeys are able to get into the barn...if they need to. I just hope they can get the grass down in the pasture and quick! It was getting pretty tall in some places....I thought I was going to have to mow. UGH! I need more sheep! As I sit here trying to wake up, I came to the reality....winter is coming, and I need a plan. See, my barn is a good little walk from the house, and I have no electric in there. Doing 7 am milking....It will be dark. Just what have I gotten myself into? I am going to have to stock up on batteries...or fuel oil. I really don't like taking the lantern to the barn, for fear of fire. So....batteries it is. As i sit here trying to wake up, the ducks are calling to me to be let out...the roosters are crowing LOUDLY, wanting out...and my bumm is planted firmly on the sofa. Come on coffee...do your thing!!!:p

I milk the goats in the house, can you believe it? Can you do that anywhere? I was surprised that they don't go potty while being milked, EVER.

We have drizzle here this morning.....

Its a might bit warm out there! Whew! Fixed the fence between the goat and the sheep..put the front back on the goat house, ( Fred didn't like it) Fixed the gate on the pig pen..tied up the tomato plants...pulled the last 4 onions...made a shade for the sheep...and now, I am cooling off before I head back out....Need to run water hoses for the ducks...since we didn't get the rain they promised!! :somad
