Well, today in the new oven I was able to "burn" 4 personal-sized homemade veggies pizzas and a batch of easy peanut butter cookies.

The pizzas were baked for 7 minutes at 400 (the recipe said 10 minutes at 425) and the cookies were baked for 6 minutes at 300 (the recipe calls for 8-10 minutes at 350).

Okay they weren't *really* burned, just very over-browned and extra crispy. I made 4 pizzas so we could each have one for lunch tomorrow.

I haven't made bread yet in this oven..... I am going to have to get a new oven thermometer first so that I can adjust the thermostat.

I have a bag of DE to take to QA's, but just not sure when our schedules will mesh - I haven't told her I'm thinking of coming yet...

Well, it's a 2.5 hr drive and we know there is no signal from just before Carrollton... I think a 1 hr notice is do-able.

Woke to pouring buckets of rain. Forecast says we are getting rain almost all day. I'm wondering what the weather is like at QA's place. I'd rather drive down when it is nice and sunny.
