We had a double rainbow too. It was Thursday evening, had a full arch, and I didn't get pictures. Lovely, though.

Still praying for you.

We have a phone at the place now, but internet is still not working properly.

Lots of blessings this week-end! God has been very good to us. :bow

DH told a woman at work that we were looking for a small lawn mower. Her husband just bought a lawn tractor and gave us their old push mower! They refused to take any money for it.

We got a total of 3 bushels of apples from the trees at church. I gave 2 bushels to the food pantry. One bushel was made into applesauce for home.

A friend gifted us with surplus from their veg garden. We received 2 quarts of green beans, 2 quarts of small yellow very sweet tomatoes, 2 large bunches of carrots, a dozen peaches, and 2 pounds of rhubarb!

The AmeriGas tech came today to check the propane tank. He found a leak at the valve, that thankfully, was easy to fix.

Last night dh and I went fishing and caught a few yellow perch. Unfortunately, none were large enough to keep. But we had perfect weather, the lake was smooth as glass, and we had fun.

DH has been moved to days permanently for at least the next couple of months. It is nice to have a regular routine again. He has the next three days off, and then doesn't get off again until the end of September. We are hoping his boss will schedule him so he can attend the men's session of Koinonia then. :fl

That sounds good. I hope life settles into a groove for you soon.

I went through Koinonia and back a couple times as a helper. That has been quite a few years ago. I haven't stayed in touch with the group.

Sounds like you have had blessings all around. It's wonderful when God thinks of the little things that help us out.

At our ladies Church meeting the other night, one of the women announced that she had a washer & dryer to give away to someone who needed them. Another lady there needed the dryer and one lady's daughter just had their washing machine give up. So, just in our little group of 12 women, 3 needs were met.

How wonderful!

There is a family in the community that contacted our church, as they are in need of some bedroom furniture for their children. Someone has donated a new twin mattress & box springs. DH and I think we have at least one dresser we could donate.

DH and I haven't been through Koinonia yet. We were supposed to attend last spring, but dh's work schedule prevented that. My bro-in-law D and sisters L and C have been. It looks like DH's boss has approved his time off for that week-end and we might actually get to attend.

Sept 13 is Rally Day at church, and Sunday classes begin again. I am really looking forward to getting back into the routine. The new study we are doing this autumn is by Drs Les and Leslie Parrot called (I think) Worth More Than I Think I Am.

Glad to hear that things are looking up...hopefully the stove will get fixed and the house won't burn down. Geesh.

That's great about all the food! We got some watermelons and beans from a friend down the road.

I hope all goes well and I'm glad that hubby is back on a regular day schedule, I know that makes things easier for you. :hugs

Laurie called me yesterday to say she wants our Experiencing God group to get back together again (we stopped for the summer). So far, I haven't found any recipe I can make on the stove top that will work.....for breakfast. It is about 15 - 20 min drive to her place from ours now.

Still no internet at home - Embarq is really getting on my last nerves this week. I am ready to move out of their service area! :p

Beautiful weather. DH is off for 3 days, so we are getting some fishing into the schedule. This library computer is about to kick me off...

Have a great week!
