Temperature was 48 this morning, and rising towards 65, if you can believe the local forecast. :) The sun is shining, which always a plus.

TR and I were watching the nuthatches, orioles, hummers and goldfinch as they were flying in and out of the mulberries this morning while we ate breakfast in the sunroom. The berries are just starting to grow a bit and it seems the birds are already looking for harvest. TR swears he saw the nuthatch shake his head "no" when he started down the tree trunk; maybe letting his family know "not today".

TR is off working with Faith In Action on the ramp build this morning. This is his day off this week, so we'll probably get some fun stuff done today!

Have a grand one!

We've been working on building the girls' room today (I just love saying that - the girls!) and we had to tear out the wall of the original add on and fix the window because the Amish had put it in wrong.

:/

I'd love to be able to just sit back and watch the birds. I almost had one fly into my tack shed today! I had the door opened wide, and it almost came in!

We're having some cooler temps too, but didn't really get much in the way of rain. We went past a retention pond today, and it was the lowest I've ever seen it. :(

I can't blame you for being so excited.

I bet you are glad to have that done and the leaking fixed.

I saw the pics on your journal. Looks like E is kicking on that project! ;)

Deb, TR and I try to watch the wild birds a little every day, even if is for the 20 minutes or so while we are eating a meal.

When we had The Ladies and Sam, we spent literally hours outdoors with them every day whenever we could. Of course, most of them loved hanging out on the front porch with us..... TR always seemed to have some snacks hidden away in a pocket that he would share with them.

We have goldfinches hanging out with the bluebirds in the morning. The weather was perfect today. I could handle a nice stretch of this.... :)
