Thanks for the pepper info, I saved the Scoville scale to my recipe files. I'm off to the greenhouse to buy peppers. They have the Scoville rating on signs near each type of pepper. It is a great greenhouse. I will stick to the 5000 range for this year and see how it goes from there! I will plant cayenne again, it was WAY hotter than what I have purchased from the store (Whole Foods bulk herbs.)

Sounds like you've been having fun this weekend! You should so write a cookbook! Everytime I log on here you are posting another yummy recipe...can I put in an order for a copy now??? :D

Thanks, kel, got my peppers, Hot Portugal. I think they were around 5000 on the Scoville scale. They are pretty red peppers for drying, too. That should get me started on the spicy kick this winter! I got another six pack of cayenne, too, so if you see flames in the Eastern sky, dh is trying my new experimental recipes!
