Your recipe looks good! Around here I dread going to backyard BBQs. It's all grilling, not true BBQing. They take meat and destroy it... Dry inedible, horrible stuff! One person in particular that I know... I can't eat anything from her grill. It's SO DRY. I will make an excuse and go home! And I can eat anything, honestly, but I like REAL BBQ meat. :drool But it's almost impossible to find around here. I don't have a way to make the recipe, (no BBQ), but someday maybe?

Wow did you take that picture of the hummingbird??? That is an amazing shot!
Man you are one busy girl! I wish I enjoyed my kitchen as much as you do, my poor guys get 30 minute meals...good quality meals, but 30 minutes anyway:>) haha
I'd much rather be building stuff, but in the winter I do enjoy baking bread

Barbecue Pulled Chicken

8 servings
1 8-oz can reduced-sodium tomato sauce
1 4-oz can chopped green chiles, drained
3 T cider vinegar
2 T honey
1 T paprika
1 T tomato paste
1 T Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp ground chipotle chile
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 # boneless, skinless chicken thighs, trimmed of fat
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
Mmmmm.....questions! I was looking at the pepper plants a couple days ago at the plant place, and want to add more to my garden and cooking. I am a timid-pepper-user. I use cayenne, and that's about it, so I bought a six pack of those.

There were many different varieties with the word "chili" in the name.....what should I get to use in place of....or which plant exactly....for the green chili's and the chipotle chili?

Anything else I should get as a beginner that might be versatile? I would like to do some of the hotter Chinese dishes, but have been confused thus far by what peppers to buy. Help, Oh Knowledgable One!

Barbecue Pulled Chicken

8 servings
1 8-oz can reduced-sodium tomato sauce
1 4-oz can chopped green chiles, drained
3 T cider vinegar
2 T honey
1 T paprika
1 T tomato paste
1 T Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp ground chipotle chile
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 # boneless, skinless chicken thighs, trimmed of fat
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced

Stir tomato sauce, chiles, vinegar, honey, paprika, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, ground chipotle and salt in a 6-quart slow cooker until smooth. Add chicken, onion and garlic; stir to combine.

Put the lid on and cook on low until the chicken can be pulled apart, about 5 hours.
Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and shred with a fork. Return the chicken to the sauce, stir well and serve.
Oh man, that sounds good! May have to try that this weekend.
