Dang it! It was supposed to rain today so I put off doing the laundry till tomorrow and it didn't even rain....went around us.

I have some cute pics I'm gonna post later. The kids and I did a really cute art project today for Halloween. I had some styrofoam cups (yes, I hate them but they were for coffee and cider at the party) so I had the kids paint them black, put on some eyes and a mouth, cut slits in either side and stick in some construction paper wings. Punch a hole on the bottom of the cup and hang with fishing line on a stick and voila! A halloween bat mobile! We even did some to look like jack o lanterns and stuck a piece of mulch in the top for a stem and my DD did a witch so I made it a construction paper hat. My son painted one brown and wants to turn it into a werewolf but we're still working on it.

We went for a walk today to check on the 2 food plots we planted for the deer. One in oats and one in a clover/chickory mix. Man they are having a field day! The oats are only 3 inches tall and the clover has barely gotten out of the ground and they are already all over both plots.

I'll post some pics tomorrow....gonna go make some BLTs for dinner and maybe try to take a hot bath.

I'm trying to do laundry today but the weather is ticking me off. I just got the first load on the line and here comes a shower of rain. :barnie

If my husband and children didn't change clothes every time the wind blew I would do a lot less laundry!!! :p

I took some fun pics yesterday and thought I would share....oh and our house is going to be shown at 2 o'clock today :fl

Here is my poor light brahma hen in molt....bless her heart...

Oh dear...that poor hen. That's gotta be one of the worst molts I've seen. Wow.
I should be called "Always Doing Dishes" 'cause that's what never ends at my house :rant

Yeah, poor brahma mama....she looks even worse from the side, if you can believe that. The inside of the coop is covered in feathers. I'm worried cause today we are supposed to get the leftovers of the wind from the Ohio area and I'm afraid she'll loose all the feathers she does have left. She has bald spots all over. My husband even feels sorry for her and that's saying a lot.

Well, the house is going to be shown today, not yesterday cause apparently my husband was in a fog yesterday.

He took a friend hunting yesterday and they saw 2 good size does in the food plot closest to my stand but it is too far away for a bow shot.

Muzzle loader season starts saturday and I'm thinking about sneaking on the back of the property with my 30-30.....technically it has black powder in it, right? :hide
