Is that like having a Doctorate in the Washing Arts? When my kids all lived at home I had a PHD in laundry ... you know Piled High & Deep!

Well....dangitall.

God, my dog's behind is ROTTEN....why do they love to lay under you and fart... :sick

Anyway, dang storms. We got some wicked wind yesterday and it uprooted the chicken tractor....the 11x11 framed with 2x4s. Now it is held down with a piece of bent rebar to keep it from flying up again. I think we may have one meatie with either a broken back or broken leg. I made sure it ate and drank. We had to go out in the middle of the storm and round up all the birds....all 57 of them....and move the tractor, turn on the light to warm them up and dry them off, and fasten everything down.

All is well today though.

We did story time at the library, the grocery store, and now my DD (get this) is running around in a bikini begging to go swimming.

How is the new house? Has chad picked up on his bird hunting business?

I haven't spent much time here, and I expect I will spend a little more time as winter sets in and I will continue to catch up with everyone. However your kids look like they were shroom hunting!! LOL teaching them young!! Sheepsheads always grow around oak trees!!!

My kids love anything bug related....DD had a pet caterpillar for 4 days until she "loved" it too much :sick

Yesterday, in honor of it bing 80 degrees outside (and because hubby and I finally stained the front deck and needed to keep the kids off of it while it dried) we filled up the dirt above the septic tanks that we haven't seeded yet with water and turned my children into OOMPA LOOMPAS!

my daughter was especially into it and kept singing that she was a "mud head"

Your mud looks like mine and my children are oompa loompas on a regular basis. It drives my MIL crazy that I let my kids get so filthy playing in the red dirt. I figure as long as she's the one who is crazy and the kids are happy I must be doing something right. My bathtub has a permanent orange ring around it though.

Yes, much to their dismay I had to blast them both with the cold well water from the hose first to at least get their feet and legs relatively clean. I had to scrub them both with a sponge and that orange hand cleaner stuff with the pumice in it to get it all off. I actually picked roots out of my daughter's hair and had to wash it 3 times to get everything out of it. My son went in our shower while she soaked in the kid's bathtub cause she was waaaaaaaay worse!

And MP, hubby is gearing up for the regular season here of goose and duck. Early season was pretty much a bust.....no birds, too warm.

He is still trying to "get his ducks in a row" to take over the business from his lazy partners. He still goes back and forth though, sometimes he wants to take it over and sometimes he doesn't. He wants to spend more time with the kids but he wants the business to succeed and doesn't want to give up something that he has put so much work into.

I'm on my 6th load of laundry today (sheets and towels and muddy clothes and jeans)....after doing 5 loads 2-3 days ago. Good lord.....this is ridiculous. When hubby gets home I'll have to do a load of hunting clothes cause I'm gonna sneak in my stand tomorrow with my 30-30..... :hide
