Yeah, I'm gonna fish the turkey out of the bottom of the freezer....I put the 21 chickens on top of it :he

Also got to make goose jerky today too....getting off to a slow start today. We didn't get home from the botanical gardens until 10pm last night and I slept with my son, he is cutting his 6 yr molars and is super crabby. I woke up in the middle of the night cause his vent sounded like a tea kettle going off (it is very touchy and had closed up) and was able to see a bit of the eclipse!!!

It was weird.....cool, but freaky looking.

The lights were spectacular! I posted pics on another thread....we took almost 200 pictures last night....they don't do it justice. It really was incredible. Then we hit a couple neighborhoods on the way home to look at more lights.

Between dinner and admission it was $50 for the 4 of us but I will take experiences over "things" to clutter up my house anyday. This is our xmas splurge and it is quickly becoming tradition. It is cool cause it is different every year. This years artist is a glass blower. Frabel is his last name. Some of his work is just amazing....he does glass flowers that were just incredible. He also did 20 different species of frogs and lizards that are either endangered or extinct and they were displayed all over the greenhouse with the orchid exhibit. Beautiful flowers....and a much needed break from the cold. :D

Today we are taking it easy....the ladies at storytime loved their gifts....the tote bags and bath salts. They deserve it...they make my life easier every week and my kids look forward to going. We made paper bag reindeer and then made homemade "reindeer chow" to put out xmas eve.

In chicken and duck news.....NOBODY is laying. :barnie Killing me. My four older gals are on strike and my 5 new girls have yet to lay a single egg yet that I know of and now the ducks have stopped too. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
